Our client, a leading VMware specialist and professional services consultancy, is looking for a Senior Consultant- AWS to join our clients on an initial 3-month contract.
Responsibilities
Migrate workloads to AWS (EC2, RDS).
Gather requirements, design, and guide the implementation of robust cloud solutions
Implement and manage AWS services, including network, security, storage, and database
Utilise automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot production AWS environments.
Manage Windows Server and Linux systems, as well as VMware environments
Present technical ideas ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in migrating workloads to AWS
Expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
Hands-on experience with AWS services and automation tools in a production environment
Strong administration skills for both Windows Server and Linux.
Proficiency in VMware administration and AWS networking.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business terms.
Previous consulting experience with small to mid-size organisations.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud
Scripting experience in production environments (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Experience with Oracle or SQL Server deployments.
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipeline construction.
AWS certifications.

This position offers a unique chance to lead a team of architects in designing a cutting-edge Kubernetes as a Service solution on vCloud Director solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Guide a team of architects to develop a comprehensive design for Kubernetes as a Service on vCloud Director.
Serve as the design authority for the VMware solution, ensuring alignment with client and partner requirements.
Conduct workshops with partners and clients to extract requirements and make informed design decisions.
charge of vCD design elements, including CSE, OSE, App Launchpad, and DSE, as well as multisite and multi-tenanted architecture.
Collaborate with NSX and Tanzu architects to deliver a cohesive design that meets customer needs.
Skills and Experience Required:

You will help the team to:
Maintain and make evolve the existing applications
Create new applications
Migrate Legacy applications into more recent versions

As a skilled Developer, you will be the 2nd Back End developer of the squad and work in an Agile team where you'll be responsible for:
Translating requirements into high-quality code.
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code based on Spring Framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features.
Work with outside data sources and APIs.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Technical experience:
Essential IT knowledge: You know the principles of clean code and apply them effectively.
Understanding of the OO principles, DDD, design patterns and best practices such as SOLID principles.
You write readable code and do refactoring as part of your daily routine.
You are familiar with test-driven development, and you have practical experience with it.
Technical Skills:
