As a Director – Sales, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and profitability of an assigned Multi-Tenant Data Centre and hyperscale/cloud customers and strategic channel partners to increase sales and margin of the Company's products and/or services. You will be accountable for achieving sales and profitability goals through direction, organization, coordination, communication and development of WDCS sales.

A “wide” degree of creativity and latitude is required. The Director - Sales will engage with all levels of the customer’s organization including technical, operations, supply chain and executive management. This position may develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals and/or product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Sell a diverse range of Wesco Anixter’s Data Center solutions and services, including structured cabling, physical security, electrical solutions, high-density liquid cooling, networking, IoT, and Pro-AV, across a defined territory.
Position Wesco Anixter’s services for design, end-to-end project deployment, product enhancement, and rack & roll.
Build partnerships across Wesco-Anixter’s Business Units and work internally as part of a fast-paced sales team.
Develop business partner relations with Wesco-Anixter’s strategic vendors/alliance partners to enhance value-add sales and project identification.
Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post-sale issues.
Utilize sales management tools for sales planning, supplier planning, and documenting opportunities.
Understands competitive landscape and market insights; communicates effectively with key stakeholders.
Develops and administers sales plans to ensure customer satisfaction, quota attainment, and a skilled, motivated staff.
Achieves annual sales and profit goals by implementing strategies and analyzing trends with the regional and business unit management team.
Forecasts sales volume and profit for existing and new products and customers.
Establishes and expands national, regional, and local supplier relationships.
Maintains sales volume, product mix, and pricing by staying current with market trends and competitors.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies.
Forecasts and communicates details to senior management.

Qualifications

High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred
7+ years of related industry professional sales
5+ years of experience leading and managing staff and programs at national, district or regional level
Working knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources
Demonstrated ability to analyze, initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve forecasted goals
Understands competitive landscape, market insights and effectively communicates across key internal and external stakeholders
Proven success in for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
Excellent time management and computer skills
Ability to travel 25% - 50%

Working Environment: Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Job Description

As a Senior Manager Project Management, you will drive large-scale initiatives in both size and budget with high complexity and both financial and organizational risk. You will have responsibility to define the team roadmap and align team resources and priorities towards meeting organizational and department objectives while ensuring project/department milestones and goals are met and adhere to approved budgets. You will oversee and manage internal and external resources, both directly and indirectly. You will have full authority for personnel actions and extensive knowledge of department processes.

Responsibilities

Drive large-scale initiatives in both size and budget with high complexity with both financial and organizational risk.
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Set and manage project expectations with team members and project stakeholders.
Perform root cause analysis on gaps, identify waste, and partner with leadership to drive sustainable corrective action.
Collaborate with organizational leaders to align with strategy and objectives and to define project scope, goals and deliverables. Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations including executive level presentations, communications and reporting.
Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes.
Assess and prioritize new demand intake.
Recommend and standardize new project management processes and governance.
Manage changes in project scope, identify potential concerns, and devise contingency plans.
Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess the need for additional staff or consultants and make appropriate staffing adjustments during project cycle. Negotiate with other department managers for acquisition of required personnel.
Develop employees to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement tools.
Function as leader for continuous improvement events.
Align activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Drive a strategic mindset to envision future and translate to tangible plans.
Develop and enable process improvements and standards of excellence.
Enable innovative solutions.
Responsible for producing/training operations for complex services as needed from SBU’s including but not limited to cable assemblies and all other services we deploy.
Position manages Projects Managers in multiple time zones for an overall portfolio of measuring quality services within our organization.
Preferred background- data center, network infrastructure and structured cabling.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree – Business or related degree required.
PMP Certification preferred
10 years of experience in business and project management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods in a large-scale project management capacity.
5 years of proven management experience leading and developing a team of resources.
Ability to build and lead strong business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze workflow and processes to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
Strong understanding of project management techniques and Agile methodologies.
Understanding of business and IT processes.
Ability to overcome difficult situations and conflicts.
Ability to apply professional principles and business judgement to solve problems.
Ability to influence outcomes and broad processes beyond individual function.
Ability to spot key risks upfront and mitigate.
Ability to bring quick focus to key issues and priorities.
Ability to travel 0-25%
