Overall purpose of the role
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of high-volume FX transactions across multiple currencies. This role covers the full trade lifecycle, from pre-settlement validation to post-settlement investigations, working closely with clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure efficient trade execution. If you have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for financial markets, this is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in FX operations.
Key Accountabilities
Pre-Settlement Processing – Ensure all trade details are correct before settlement, confirming the right Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) to avoid errors.
Net and Gross FX Settlement – Collaborate with clients to determine who owes what and ensure accurate settlement of transactions.
Engage with clients to resolve economic discrepancies and provide clear explanations on findings.
Problem-Solving & Investigations, Identify, analyse, and resolve post-settlement issues, working closely with middle office and trade support teams.
High-Value Client Management – Maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth and institutional clients, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
Key Skills
Experience in FX settlements or any pre-settlement function in investment banking.
Strong attention to detail to manage multiple SSIs and ensure accurate transactions.
Ability to problem-solve and think outside the box to resolve settlement discrepancies.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
Knowledge of FX asset classes and derivatives is a plus.

Overall purpose of the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quantitative Model Validation expert to help build and validate a customer-centric pensions proposition. The successful candidate will ensure that external model suppliers deliver solutions that meet the bank’s requirements while ensuring compliance with model governance frameworks.
Key Accountabilities
Assist in building out a customer-centric pensions proposition.
Validate and test financial forecasting and cashflow models, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review and document model specifications with a business and decumulation focus.
Conduct sanity checks on model documentation and submit findings to governance teams.
Serve as a point of contact for model-related queries from internal validation units.
Monitor ongoing model performance and draft periodic validation reports.
Liaise with external suppliers to ensure deliverables meet business needs.
Influence and adjust the scope of work to align with strategic objectives.
Key Skills
Educated to degree level in a technical or scientific subject (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.). A postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Proficiency in VBA and Python.
Strong ability to write complex technical documentation.
Experience working within model governance frameworks in a finance industry setting.
Expertise in financial forecasting and cashflow modelling using stochastic methods.
Hands-on experience in developing Monte Carlo simulation methods for cashflow modelling.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and work within tight deadlines.
