A rapidly growing startup, tackling some of humanity’s most challenging problems across health, sustainability, climate change, and AI, are searching for a Systems Engineer. You’ll be part of a cutting-edge team based in Oxford, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure powering world-class research and development.

About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll contribute to building and maintaining the robust technical backbone that drives innovation. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure while exploring and recommending emerging technologies.

The Systems Engineer's responsibilities:
Design and deploy infrastructure across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
Implement infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Manage containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and domain experts to deliver impactful solutions.

The ideal Systems Engineer:
Solid experience in systems engineering and cloud platforms.
Magic with Core Cloud Systems (Compute oriented – CPU + GPU, burning coal, HPC)
Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
A deep understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.
Strong software engineering skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.

Up to £75,000

We’re currently partnered with an exciting Tech business in Manchester who are growing and are now looking for a Lead Full Stack Developer to join their on their next growth journey.

As a leading Marketplace, the business has seen an increase in demand and are looking to build new products to help support their growth and in order to achieve this, they are now looking for a Lead Engineer who wants to remain hands-on and play a vital role in helping to mentor and coach their engineer team.

You’ll be joining a team who specialise in React.js, Node.js & TypeScript and you’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering to help bring in new ideas, work on exciting new products and ensure projects are delivered.

What will you be doing:

Taking the lead on the design, architecting and development of applications
Lead on technical decision-making to ensure alignment with business goals
Collaborate with the wider team to define technical requirements and develop new solutions
Be responsible for the Architect and implement RESTful APIs
Develop interactive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.js
Help mentor and coach team member through code reviews
Ensure TDD practices are being followed and implement unit tests

Hybrid working – office based in Manchester CC and the team are currently onsite 1-2 days per week

Senior Software Engineer – Join a growing business

Up to £130,000 plus benefits
Remote working with monthly visits to their London office
Tech Stack – React.js, TypeScript and Node.js

We’re currently partnered with a well-known Marketplace who are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their growing business.

The company are now building a new team and looking for a Senior Engineer to work closely with the Engineering Manager to build new projects within React.js, TypeScript and Node.js. You’ll be joining a team who are responsible for ensuring their customers have the right tools and services to manage their needs and requirements when engaging with the platform across mobile and web.

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with good experience working with micro-service architecture and open source containers. You’ll be collaborating with other teams across engineering depending on the project needs and you’ll also be working with other teams outside of engineering to support their needs.

What are they looking for:

Good experience within engineering principles and practices and being able to support on complex technical challenges and system architecture decisions
Ability to drive long-term technical direction that are aligned with the business goals to help deliver impactful results
Previous experience of supporting members of the team through mentoring and coaching techniques to share best practice and establish a culture of technical growth
Previous experience in collaborating with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to ensure technical and business objectives are met
Experience within React.js, TypeScript and Node.js
