Market Research Analyst
Fundamental Media is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Market Research Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for market research, working knowledge of the financial services and asset management sector, and professional-level fluency in French. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse quantitative and qualitative research projects across North America, Europe and APAC.

About the Team:
This role sits in the company’s Research and Insights division. The team acts as an in-house market research agency, fuelling internal teams with proprietary media and marketing insights to support client campaigns. Furthermore, the team also lead on the company’s flagship Global Brand Survey that measures brand effectiveness for leading asset management brands.
About the Role:
Offer end-to-end support on annual research projects.
Conduct desk research on specific markets, topics and sector regulations.
Design and distribute surveys via online platforms, phone interviews, and social media.
Maintain and update inhouse research panel, run quality checks on existing contacts and periodically source new contacts.
Monitor, verify and analyse data using statistical techniques and text analysis.
Offer translation support on projects conducted in French.
Create crosstabs, charts and PowerPoint research reports, adhering to house brand guidelines.
Write research findings in a simple and effective style, translating the data into actionable insights.
Essential Skills:
One year+ experience in an analytical or market research role preferred.
Professional proficiency in English and French to manage multi-language research projects.
Advanced numerical and analytical abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Microsoft software packages.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Curiosity and an inquisitive approach to data.
Preferred/desirable Skills:
A degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or related fields.
Interest or experience in financial services sector, digital advertising and marketing.
Knowledge of data cleansing and data modelling using R, Python, SPSS or similar.
Experience in the use of AI and/or social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).
Project management in a market research environment.
