It also owns specific local call center and help desk capabilities that enable and complement its onsite capabilities. Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer, who will be required to work as part of an onsite team providing Network Infrastructure support, implementation & management for key customer. Role will take in diverse responsibilities from patching LAN connectivity for new customer equipment through to documentation and implementation of complex new network solutions.
The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
This role may include requirements to perform cover Out of Hours as part of a rota.
The tasks will include (but not limited to):
Network installations and support.
Troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues on all various forms of equipment.
Deploying new logical networks via Change Control.
Working with new customers to onboard them to new solutions.
Being a first responder for customer logged vaults.
Configuring and deploying network equipment.
Adhering to strict policies and processes around security and data protection.
Ensuring SLA requirements and Customer Satisfaction metrics are on or above target.
Creating and maintaining comprehensive and meaningful updates within the ticket handling system.
Ensuring the escalation process is followed and any issues are communicated appropriately to internal and customer management teams.
Working alongside HPE TAC teams to resolve customer issues.
Required skills and attributes
Proven networking background spanning at least 5 years.
Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to simplify technical detail.
Highly organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced, structured manner to meet tight deadlines.
Confident, collaborative working style and able to interface with people of all levels.
Proactive approach to work activities & support of colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to recognise and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership.
Must have a strong understanding of all major aspects of systems and network equipment HW and FW/SW & knowledge of multiple platforms.
Knowledge of network equipment from with network vendors equipment.
Strong understanding of both LAN and Wireless networking.
Ability to pass necessary steps to achieve high level UK Government security clearances.
Desirable Skills
Aruba LAN (CX, AOS, HPE Comware).
Aruba Wireless.
Experience with NG Firewall equipment (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco).
ITIL Service Management Foundation.
Experience of IT incident management.
Fluke & other cable test equipment.

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Support Engineer, the role will primarily involve the provision of cabling activities i.e. installation, termination and testing of all data centre interlink cabling & patching using CAT-5e, CAT-6/6A and fibre optic cabling (single and multi-mode).
The role also includes the DC hardware deployments, this activity includes all stages from physical delivery through to the end point installation. The hardware consists of the main industry OEM’s including HPE, Dell and IBM servers plus various standard network devices.
The role will include provision of Data Centre support functions such as but not limited to IMAC-D and the escorting of external resources. The role also requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and some Ticket Management experience as you will required to update the customers Servicenow queues as well as providing regular email and IM communications with customers globally.
Based on customer sites in Lewisham and London Docklands covering 37.5 hr week across Mon – Sun
The tasks will include (but not limited to):
Installations, maintenance of customer equipment.
Installation, termination and testing of all data centre interlink cabling inc. CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A, fibre optic.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met. Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately.
Required skills and attributes
Must have strong knowledge of HPE Proliant, Blade servers & Dell Servers.
Experience of patch cabling in DC environment.
Good knowledge of Service Now (SNOW)
Sound knowledge of ESD working practice
Sound knowledge of general Health & Safety
Good MS Office tool skills
Strong Customer relationship skills and ability to manage complex customer problems
Display calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
Team player and strong interpersonal skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
