Winn Solicitors (Scotland) LLP* opened in June 2023 to offer a specialist accident claim service, focusing on all elements of the claims process to help our clients deal with the fall-out of a non-fault accident. The team work on a variety of claims, including road traffic, employee liability and public liability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with public liability, RTA, and employer liability claims.
*Key Responsibilities*
Maximise income per case through recovery of damages to include hire, repairs, recovery and storage;
Prepare and conduct the case thoroughly ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence;
Deliver a level of Client Care in accordance with service level agreements;
Report issues, problems and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management;
Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used;
Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team for this post and the associated level of responsibility attached to it.
*Person Specification*
Must be admitted in Scotland - Newly Qualified (NQ)
Understanding of credit hire would be desirable
Court litigation experience including an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court Procedures
In-depth drafting experience
Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts
Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim.
Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment
Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution -focused approach
