The Role
Liquify is looking for a Founding Engineer / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our tech team and shape our product at a pivotal moment after recently raising our seed round.

At Liquify, we connect SMEs—traditionally excluded from working capital financing—with global capital markets. Our ambition is to close the $1 trillion SME trade financing gap, unlocking economic growth and creating a more equitable financial ecosystem.

In the past year, we have:
Built v1 of our platform
Grew a pipeline of receivables worth $9m, financing $1.4m to date
Secured seed funding following 2023 pre-seed funding led by Techstars
Established an industry leading team
Increased our customers revenue by 20%+

This is a rare opportunity to shape both product and technology at a high-impact fintech from the ground up. As CTO, you will work closely with the CEO and lead our engineering team, defining and driving our technical vision. You’ll have the freedom to architect and scale our platform while making a significant social and economic impact on global trade.

What You’ll Do
Define and execute Liquify’s long-term technology roadmap using an AI first mindset
Be the technical force behind our product and influence strategic decisions alongside the CEO
Own the architecture, specification, and implementation of our platform
Grow and lead a high-performing engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers

What We’re Looking For
Proven success as a full-stack developer (inc Python/Django). We value achievements over years of experience
Demonstrable understanding and vision for how AI can be leveraged to efficiently scale our technology
Experience handling complex engineering challenges (e.g., scaling platforms at early-stage startups or high-growth ventures)
Either a track record of managing engineering teams or experience as a technical co-founder
Based in London
Passion for fintech and emerging markets
A strong, adaptable mindset – we welcome bold ideas, but flexibility and curiosity are key
