About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Procurement and Contract Management Team as a Procurement and Contract Management Officer. In this role, you’ll be primarily working on a variety of procurements and contract management activities. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the application of the new Procurement Act and a gain exposure to a range of Council services.
You'll provide professional procurement advice, guidance and expertise across the council.
You will manage the operational delivery of low value tenders across a range of portfolios of council expenditure.
You'll manage the operation of Procurement Category Boards.
You will support the collection of procurement performance data to support efficient decision making for improvements to the service.
You will be at the heart of celebrating what Hounslow has to offer and developing a strong ‘One Hounslow’ brand and identity – a whole council, whole borough approach - which galvanises communities, attracts people to the borough and makes us an influential voice for our residents.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
With a focus on stakeholder management and the drive to go the extra mile to deliver for the client, the Procurement and Contract Management Team have built a solid reputation.
The team drive end to end procurement processes from pre-market engagement, specification development to implementation. The team also advises on aspects of contract management, and disputes.
About You
You will be a dynamic team player with the motivation to learn on the job. You will ideally have some experience of procurement or contract management either from working in a procurement environment or as a commissioner/ buyer.
You will ideally have an awareness of working in a public sector environment, its context, and the need to work within clear rules and governance procedures.
You will be working in a small team and therefore good inter-personal skills are essential. You will be well supported by your managers and colleagues. We have a strong interest in personal and career development to support your progression within the role.

About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Commissioning Team as a Contract Officer.
As a key member of our Children’s Services team, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts over the next 24 months to deliver efficiencies, achieve savings, and maximise both financial and non-financial benefits. By closely monitoring contract performance and compliance, you will ensure that services align with Hounslow’s Children and Young People’s Plan and the One Hounslow Financial Strategy, while driving value for money.

About The Role
Would you like to work as a Performance and Data Team Manager in a council that has recently been rated as “outstanding” and “good” from the 2023 Ofsted inspections?
We are recruiting to a permanent Performance and Data Team Manager to work with Children’s Social Care and Early Help and the Supporting Families team.
You will be managing a well-respected team of performance and information analysts who are dedicated to making data easy to access and use for performance monitoring and decision making. The Performance and Data Team Manager is expected to work with senior managers at all levels to ensure that performance management and data is embedded across operational teams and that robust evidence-based data is at the heart of service provision.
This role would be an ideal opportunity for a person who has:
Extensive experience of working in children’s social care and early help, including a sound understanding of requirements for statutory returns and Ofsted inspections.
Expert knowledge of reporting tools and visualisation software to extract and manipulate data and make data easy to use and interpret. For example, Business Objects, SQL and Power BI.
A passion for data with expert communication skills to translate data to insight for operational and leadership audiences at all levels.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build purposeful relationships across organisation boundaries along with the confidence to challenge services and drive sustainable improvement.
Strong self-motivation and an ability to identify and encourage innovative solutions to problems.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
You will manage the Children’s Performance and Data Team and be responsible for the collection, collation, analysis and interpretation of statistics and information on social care services provided by the council and partners to inform and support the development and provision of quality services, assist planning and performance management, and to respond to government initiatives and undertake statutory data returns.
You will have expertise in a range of reporting tools and systems for collecting, monitoring, presenting and disseminating information within the directorate, partners and the public.
You will line manage a team consisting of senior management information officers, management information officers and analysts.
About You

You will have experience of working in an information management role, ideally within a Children’s Services or similar setting, which involves statutory returns and reporting on performance indicators.

Experience of staff management.

Qualifications:
