**Job Title:** Finance Business Partner
**Role Summary:**
Partner with the Global Support division to deliver commercial, tactical, and strategic financial insights. Own budgeting, cost base management, acquisition & disposal impact, and high‑quality reporting. Lead financial case development, commentary, and cross‑divisional initiatives while managing a direct report and maintaining governance and audit requirements.
**Expectations:**
- Autonomy in delivering financial requirements and commentary.
- Influence senior leaders with data‑driven insights and storytelling.
- Ensure budget compliance, cost‑base improvement, and accurate reporting.
- Lead people management, recruitment, and development for the finance team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with unit management and senior leaders.
2. Influence business decisions through commercial, tactical, and strategic financial insights.
3. Deliver high‑quality business commentary, presentations, and stories.
4. Lead business case preparation, including cost rationale, risk assessment, ROI, and benefit realisation.
5. Manage cost base: support committed budget delivery using KPIs, zero‑based budgeting, rolling forecasts, and analytical reviews.
6. Oversee acquisition and disposal impacts on the unit.
7. Lead cross‑divisional initiatives and end‑to‑end financial management, including unit recharges.
8. Manage actuals: performance review, sign‑off, commentary, and audit support.
9. Ensure balance sheet integrity, compliance with Group Finance policy, and effective SSC controls.
10. Support statutory charge, tax compliance, and internal/external audits.
11. Manage direct reports: recruitment, performance, development, and resource planning.
12. Communicate key messages, escalations, and serve as a role‑model for professional conduct.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong stakeholder and partner management in a global/divisional environment.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel analytics and financial modelling.
- Project management, prioritisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Credibility, professional integrity, and the ability to challenge senior management.
- Knowledge of acquisitions, disposals, and cost‑base management techniques.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in financial management, cost control, and corporate finance.
