Job Description
Yorkshire Talent Partners are seeking a Junior Mathematician to join a dynamic team whose Head Office is based in Newark. The position requires the development of new and unique math models and subsequent analysis to ensure performance is in line with expectations.

The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, an ability to problem solve, and have strong communication skills. A strong understanding of probabilities and general statistics is required. Please note that this position is office based.

Benefits of the Junior Mathematician:
Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
Quarterly bonus
25 days holiday
Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week

Responsibilities of the Junior Mathematician include:

Develop mathematical statistical algorithms
Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the quality of the algorithms
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate mathematical solutions into software applications
Utilise statistical methods to interpret data sets, identifying trends and patterns.
Present findings and insights clearly to management
Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of advancements in mathematics, data analysis, and related technologies

Requirements for the Junior Mathematician:

Degree, or equivalent, in a technical subject such as mathematics or computer science
Excellent mathematical and probability skills
Creative and analytical mind
An interest in mathematical statistics, probability, and combinatorics
Proficient in Excel and MS Office skills
Familiarity of databases
