The Product Marketeer will use marketing expertise to drive product adoption and growth by increasing awareness, generating leads, and ultimately driving sales for AREA42 working capital products.
This will involve developing and executing effective go-to-market strategies with a focus on both inbound and outbound marketing, strengthening market positioning by clearly communicating the value proposition, enabling sales success through knowledge and tools, and fostering customer engagement to build loyalty and advocacy.
Role responsibilities
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will handle all aspects of product marketing for AREA42 working capital solutions products, from strategy to execution and analysis, to drive product adoption and growth.
Market research & analysis
Conduct thorough market research to identify target audiences, competitive landscapes, and market trends.
Analyze customer needs, preferences, and pain points to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Develop detailed buyer personas and ideal customer profiles.
Product positioning & messaging
Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
Craft value propositions and key differentiators for each product/service.
Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels, in close cooperation with the Communication Manager.
Go-to-market strategy & execution
Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products/features.
Define launch plans, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Execute marketing campaigns across various channels (online, offline, events, etc.).
Content creation & management support
Support the Communication Manager in developing high-quality marketing content, including website copy, blog posts, case studies, white papers, social media content, and sales collateral.
Support the Communication Manager in managing content calendar and ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging.
Support the Communication Manager in optimising content for search engines (SEO) and lead generation.
Sales enablement
Support the Communication Manager in creating and maintaining sales enablement tools and resources, such as sales presentations, product demos, competitive battle cards, and FAQs.
Train the sales team on product knowledge, messaging, and selling techniques.
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement sales strategies.
Customer marketing
Develop and execute customer marketing programs to drive adoption, engagement, and retention.
Support the Communication Manager in creating customer success stories and testimonials.
Support the Communication Manager in managing online communities and forums to foster customer interaction and feedback.
Performance monitoring & analysis
Track and analyse key marketing metrics, such as website traffic, lead generation, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
Provide regular reports and insights to the Client on campaign performance and ROI.
Recommend adjustments to marketing strategies based on data analysis.
Profile of the possible candidates
Atypical profiles often work better for atypical jobs, and it is hard to predict the multiple winning skill combinations of the best candidates for the job. Moreover, we prefer team culture over individual performance. This being said, here are a few qualities we may be looking for:
Somebody hands-on who gets the job done.
15+ years of experience in marketing, ideally in a mix of start-up and corporate environments.
A passion for innovation and start-ups with a good understanding of the corporate world.
At ease with multitasking. Adaptable. Good sense of priorities (and humour).
A solid strategic vision, a strong operational capacity and embraces challenges.
Excellent human relations, networker and team-player.
Can handle success and failure, positive feedback as well as critiques.
Understanding of B2B trade is a plus, trade credit insurance is nice to have.
Remuneration range
250€-900€/day
Job subject to contract via proUnity (AREA42 procurement platform), with monthly timesheets and invoicing
Invoices must be sent to proUnity and to invoices@area42.tech (preferably as cc to proUnity).
Work hours, travel requirements, etc.
Work up to 230 days/year in 2025. As a freelancer, the product manager is free to choose when s/he wishes to work with AREA42 or to take holidays.
Travels to support the development of the SoW (occasionally when requested by AREA42).
For administrative simplicity all travel assignments are approved and arranged by AREA42 and also the costs are carried directly by AREA42.
