What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a highly capable 1st/2nd Line Desktop Support Technician to join our client, a large managed IT consultancy working onsite for their end client in Middlesbrough. This is a contract position within IR35.
Please note an enhanced DBS Check will be required prior to starting this role.
Job Summary:
To maintain all IT Systems to a high standard ensuring operational availability and to respond effectively to all help-desk requests.
Candidate Profile
Ability to respond to a high volume of support tickets in a timely and professional manner, resolving and escalating when required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ensure the resolution of all IT incidents and service requests within agreed SLA's
Experience within the education sector is highly desirable

Network Engineer wanted in Chester

Rate: £325 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 9 months Initially
Location: Chester, Cheshire
Purpose:
Join a small, IT managed service team, which incorporates an in-house communications support function alongside some outsourced services. This network engineer will be responsible for the implementation and operation of all voice and data communications systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide incident and problem management for supported systems.
Install, set up, and test equipment, working with vendors and external teams.
Ensure effective change and asset management for supported systems.
Monitor systems and produce quantified performance metrics.
Assist in ensuring compliance with governance standards and best practices.
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Manage the operation of voice, video, and network services.
Provide support for telephony, network patching, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and video conferencing.
Ensure changes are accurately logged, approved, and documented within the CMDB.
Generate reports on system performance and maintain monitoring protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Information and Communications Technology or equivalent experience.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in Routing & Switching, Voice, or Security (or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of IT service requirements and vendor evaluation.
Knowledge of ITIL methodology (preferred but not essential).
Experience managing LAN and WAN networks for voice and data communications.
Detailed knowledge of Cisco networking, including Routers, Switches, and wireless LAN systems.
Expertise in Cisco voice communication systems.
Proven ability to monitor, report, and optimize network performance.

A leading financial services client is looking for an experienced Payments Manager to oversee and support credit card issuing operations, including scheme bulletin reviews and other BAU activities. This is an operationally focused role, making it ideal for someone with a deep knowledge of payment systems and merchant card acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day credit card issuing activities, including scheme compliance and operational reviews.
Support integration activities related to payment processing.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless payment acceptance at POS terminals and leverage insights on card usage.
Stay updated with industry regulations, scheme bulletins, and compliance requirements to ensure best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize card acceptance processes and enhance merchant experiences.
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong expertise in credit card issuing – experience in debit card issuing and card acceptance is a plus.
A generalist understanding of credit and debit card payments, particularly in how merchants receive and process cards at POS terminals.
Operationally focused with a keen eye for efficiencies and compliance.
Ability to analyse and interpret transaction data and insights from merchant payment activity.
Experience working in a fast-paced payments, banking, or financial services environment.
Day rate: £475pd inside IR35
