Azure Platform Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud infrastructure, automation, and networking, with expertise in Landing Zones, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with Landing Zones and Well-Architected Framework best practices.
Architect and maintain Azure networking, including Hub-Spoke topology, Virtual Networks, and private endpoints.
Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure resources, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terraform modules.
Build and manage Kubernetes (AKS) environments, including Istio or other service mesh technologies.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and YAML for builds.
Work with Jira or other build/release management tools to track and deliver infrastructure changes.
Collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to ensure best practices for governance, compliance, and resilience.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform-related issues efficiently.
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, Storage, Compute, Security, Monitoring).
Expertise in Landing Zones, Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Cloud Governance.
Deep understanding of Azure networking, including Hub-Spoke architecture, Virtual Networks, and ExpressRoute.
Kubernetes (AKS) experience, with hands-on expertise in Istio or other Kubernetes service mesh solutions.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform and Terraform modules.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, YAML builds, and Azure DevOps (Jira integration preferred).
Solid understanding of security, identity management, and compliance best practices in Azure.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced contract environment.
