Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll work alongside talented engineers to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform. Your key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring & Alerting: Set up monitoring systems and alerts to detect performance issues early and ensure smooth operation across platforms.
Log Analysis: Manage and analyze log files to detect anomalies, improve system stability, and preempt potential issues.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could affect system performance, ensuring resilience and reliability.
Backup & Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup strategies to guarantee high availability and fast recovery in case of an outage.
Incident Management: Troubleshoot issues, manage incidents effectively, and conduct post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence.
Security Compliance: Ensure that our infrastructure meets stringent security standards and policies, including ISO 27001 compliance.
Capacity Planning: Analyze historical trends to predict future capacity requirements and maintain performance under all conditions.
Training & Knowledge Sharing (Optional): If you enjoy sharing knowledge, you’ll have the opportunity to conduct internal training sessions on tools and best practices.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications

If you have a strong interest in modern scalable infrastructure, orchestration of multi-cluster platforms and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you. Key qualifications we’re seeking include:

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus, but not required).
Your language skills in Dutch and English are excellent (both spoken and written).
Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and a love for automation using scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
An understanding of cybersecurity best practices and how to implement security measures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A proactive mindset with a desire for continuous learning and growth.
Bonus points for experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and working in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) environments.

Your mission as DevOps Engineer in our team?

Streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes through automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD) to ensure smooth and frequent releases. (Gitlab)
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to provision, manage, and scale infrastructure resources dynamically and efficiently. (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
Continuously monitor system performance, anticipate potential issues, troubleshoot and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of services. Optimize the performance of applications and infrastructure to meet business needs. Using technologies like Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, …
Integrate security practices into the development lifecycle, conducting regular security assessments and implementing necessary security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
