About the Company
The Northern Care Alliance is an NHS Foundation Trust (NCA FT) created by bringing together two NHS Trusts, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The NCA FT was formally established on 1 October 2021. The NCA has been working together as a group since 2016.

Our dedicated team of around 20,000 staff – our NCA Family – provide a range of community and hospital services to over one million people across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford, as well as providing more specialist care to patients across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Job Summary
The Digital department at the Northern Care Alliance is seeking an inspirational, proactive, experienced full time, Band 7 Integration Specialist to integrate and develop clinical and non-clinical applications and data across the Trust.
This key position requires the postholders to liaise with clinical and operational staff both within and external to the Trust to support across both sites. An enthusiastic, flexible, and conscientious approach is required as is good communication skills and front-line people skills.
The post holder is tasked with the support, development and maintenance of the trusts integration and the post holder should posses excellent knowledge of integration technologies and act as the subject matter expert on the system integration. HL7 messaging knowledge is also required.
Main duties of the job
Analysis of key Trust data integration requirements, design and implementation utilising the Trust Interface Engine and other software tools.
Analysis and development of IT systems to meet the Trust's objectives including design, development, configuration, maintenance and reporting.
Provide systems and interface support. Liaise with technical support to provide expert advice and assistance as part of the problem management process.
Provide technical training for the technical support team to ensure systems are maintained as required.
Provide expert advice and support in the use of IT systems for data analysis using advanced database and query language tools.
Provide project management when required.

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Neurology Research Team as a Clinical Trials Administrator at Salford Royal Hospital. This post is a 12-month secondment / fixed-term contract.
The main purpose of the role is to assist the clinical research team with all aspects of administration related to clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and trust policies. The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Research Nurses, Practitioners & Assistants in daily research activity, patient communication and assist in workload management.
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for administration and teamwork. The post is based at Salford but travel across the NCA region maybe required to support the delivery of the trials.
Main duties of the job
Develop an expertise in research skills, including set up and develop and understanding for research delivery, whether these are academic or commercial.
Ensure GCP adherence + compliance at all times and be able to follow complex protocols and SOP's (Trust or Sponsor).
Be meticulous in record keeping, records must be complete have attention to detail.
Good planning and organisational skills is crucial. The post holder must be able to have excellent team working skills and be able to plan their own workload too.
Provide research teams, research networks/themes, and R&I Management team with up to date information about recruitment status of study. Ensure information is available and accessible.
Ensure that the accrual figures for studies and referred patients are collated and sent to the trial co-ordinating centre, and R&I Management team for all studies according to agreed timescales.
Typing and formatting letters and reports where appropriate; meeting timescales.
To take minutes of meetings, type and distribute to all members of staff and to follow up actions as required.
Word processing, which may include letter, memos, notes, record cards, messages, and email communication.
Collate, provide, receive, and appropriately store sensitive and confidential information.
Maintain administration systems set up in team offices to ensure an organised and effective working environment.
Responsible for assisting with the booking of team training and maintaining local training records.
