We're looking for a Utilities Site Project Manager to join our UK Power Network Alliance team based on projects within the Hertfordshire region.
Location: Maple Cross
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Manager, you'll be working within energy-based utilities, you'll manage and oversee the work of your team delivering projects ranging from £500k to £10m, such as cable, overhead line, and substation infrastructure projects.
Your Day To Day Will Include
Developing outline schemes into deliverable projects including programmes, costings and feasibility studies, providing regular reports and any other functions as required by UKPN
Managing all interfaces between Stakeholders from within and outside UKPN and Alliance partners
Managing the delivery of developed schemes, ensuring resources are in place and aligned in delivering milestones and investment plans as well as any regulatory outputs or customer energisation dates
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Project Manager is great for you if:
Have and Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent all with a Project Management bias
Able to develop projects from concept through design and construction to completion efficiently, adding value throughout the process
Knowledge and experience of project management techniques and, the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook)

Kier Group are looking for a mechanical design engineer to join our growing team based in Manchester and help assist on projects within the water sector.
Kier Professional Services are the engineering consultancy division of Kier Group, providing design solutions, technical advice, and engineering support to all other Kier business units.
Location: Manchester- remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Business Area: Kier Transportation, KPS
Contract: Full Time, Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know
What will your responsibilities be?
As a mechanical design engineer, you'll be working within the Kier Professional Services (KPS) team, supporting them in with the delivery of a broad range of mechanical projects predominately within the water sector and working on large pumping stations. You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services by providing solutions.
Your Day To Day Will Include
Production of pumping system hydraulic calculations and selection of suitable pumps
Production of pumping systems and pumping station designs including pipework and valving arrangements.
Production of equipment specification/datasheets from a process requirement specifications & P&ID's for the selection of equipment associated water, waste water and other treatment systems e.g. Sludge treatment, Chemical dosing, pumping.
Review and input to P&ID's
Input to and attendance at HAZOP meetings
What are we looking for?
You are a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE) or working towards
You have several years of postgraduate experience.
You have experience within the water sector working on pumping stations
