Senior Software Engineer ( Web3 ) $160K - $250K Remote EU

Job Description

Our client is the first perpetuals DEX engineered specifically for Real World Assets (RWAs). We leverage the rapid growth of on-chain perpetuals and introduce a first-of-its-kind approach by focusing on RWAs. Our platform enables trading of previously unavailable assets on-chain—ranging from gold and copper to wheat, oil, and forex pairs. Using Chainlink's Functions product for trade execution pricing, we’re pushing the boundaries of DeFi.
Our team includes Harvard grads with experience at Bridgewater, IOI, IMO, and IPhO medalists, as well as lead engineers from top firms like Maple Finance and 21Shares.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to help scale our platform. This role requires deep expertise in backend development and blockchain technology, with the ability to work across the entire tech stack.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and PostgreSQL
Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript
Architect and integrate Web3 functionalities across our tech stack
Optimize performance with Redis and other caching solutions
Build and maintain API integrations between frontend and backend
Ensure high performance, reliability, and security across all system components
Collaborate on technical architecture and system design
Work closely with product and design teams to develop new features
Maintain technical documentation and best practices
Requirements
5+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on scalability
Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
Experience with Web3 technologies and blockchain development
Proficiency in Redis or similar caching mechanisms
Strong understanding of database design and optimization
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Familiarity with state management in complex frontend applications
Knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in DeFi or trading platforms
Knowledge of Subgraph integration and GraphQL
Understanding of perpetuals trading and RWA markets
Contributions to open-source projects
Experience with high-frequency trading systems or real-time data processing
