Role Overview

To perform all planned and unplanned Electrical engineering activities relating to the running of an efficient contract and supporting the client facilities.

What You'll Do

To carry out PPM and reactive tasks to provide maximum efficiency, availability and reliability.
Perform testing and inspecting of electrical systems in accordance with industry and site standards.
Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and systems and providing reports as requested by engineering management
Carry out minor new works installations, commissioning and testing.
Provide assistance to third parties as and when required.
Act upon reasonable requests from and instructions from Contract Supervisor.
Liaise with and respond to the Helpdesk ensuring urgent maintenance tasks are responded to within appropriate and contracted timescales
To partake on call out roster.
To work reasonable overtime as and when required.
Assistance on other sites can be expected.

Person Specification

Who You’ll Be

Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship to JIB Approved Electrician or equivalent.
Qualified and Competent in Electrical Test and Inspection C&G 2391-52 or equivalent.
Proven experience within a building services environment. It is desirable that the candidate is current and competent in maintaining all electrical systems associated with a data centre and other communications systems
Knowledge of key operational procedures e.g. time sheets, planned maintenance systems, Quality and Health & Safety.
Substantial operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential.
Experience of positively dealing with the resolution of customer problems within specific contracts.
The ability to communicate with supervisors and peers, providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person.
The individual must be willing to attain Competent Person (Electrical) HV and LV and Competent Person (Confined Spaces) and with training become appointed in each discipline.

Job Purpose

A flexible role to cover but not limited to maintenance and breakdown tasks. Work to be carried out as required to meet the business needs of the client.

Duties

Provide general mechanical/ HVCA/Building services maintenance support on all buildings and plant.
Implement all mechanical maintenance and corrective works on the site in accordance with Maintenance Instructions, EMCOR and site specific procedures.
Perform testing and inspecting of mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards.
Provide accurate feedback and information including but not limited to completed test sheets, routine rounds inspection sheets and work dockets containing durations of maintenance activities and observations.
Ensure that all plant and systems are maintained and operated in order to provide maximum efficiency, availability and reliability.
Carry out remedial and/or refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections.
Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls for the helpdesk and carrying out remedial work as necessary, providing feedback information to customer and helpdesk as required.
Assume the role of Competent Person (mechanical) as authorised by the Authorised Person Controller.
Develop and retaining knowledge of site system failures and their causes and effects.
Carry out condition based monitoring surveys.
Carry out minor new works installations and testing.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of plant and adjacent areas.
Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and systems and providing reports as requested by engineering management.
Assist the mechanical Supervisor in providing information for technical and incident reports.
Develop and retain a full knowledge of the operating characteristics of the site generation plant in order to provide monitoring attendance when running for emergency or test purposes.
Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift colleagues.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have the relevant C&G, BTEC level 3, ONC/OND or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical discipline
The candidate will be qualified and/or trained in other building service disciplines including HVCA and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a building service environment.

Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.

Role Overview

To manage a professional shift security team, carrying out daily tasks as specified to create a safe and secure working environment for all visitors and staff, whilst always ensuring good customer service is provided throughout.

What You’ll Do:

Operations

Support all security operations in compliance with all Statutory, Company, Legal and Contractual requirements.
Ensure adequate and timely responses to incidents and changed customer requirements.
Ensure manning of the site at contracted levels with regular shift patterns and with trained and qualified staff.
Work in partnership with EMCOR colleagues, ensuring all aspects of Site Security, Health & Safety and Fire Prevention requirements are effectively managed.

Administration
