Your mission

Build highly available, resilient, consistent, and performant microservices to power Ledger’s products.
Integrate Buy, Sell, Earn, and Swap services by connecting to partner APIs.
Design monitoring systems for detecting failures and ensuring efficient alerting.
Set up logging for all API requests and responses.
Ensure data integrity across multiple blockchain sources.
Handle API authentication, rate limiting, and error handling.
Engage proactively in architecture and design discussions to ensure scalable and feasible solutions.
Maintain and evolve the existing stack, proposing and implementing technical improvements.
Deliver high-quality software by testing, documenting, and demonstrating features.

What we're looking for

Scala Backend Engineer: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Advanced Scala Expertise: Good mastery of Scala ideally on CatsIO or any similar framework; proficiency in another backend language (Rust, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) is a plus.
Web3 & Blockchain Experience: Good understanding of blockchain fundamentals and ecosystem.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Architectural Expertise: Knowledge of web architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, P2P).
Containerization & Cloud: understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

Join our Ledger Recover team as a talented Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in building and maintaining the infrastructure and backend systems that ensure the secure recovery of digital assets. This opportunity requires a strong security focus, familiarity with hardware integration (including HSMs), and the ability to work across both software and infrastructure layers.

You'll be a vital part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team dedicated to delivering the Ledger Recover product.

Your mission

Design, develop, and maintain secure backend services using Python and FastAPI for the Ledger Recover product.
Implement and enhance testing frameworks with pytest to ensure robustness and security of code.
Collaborate with the hardware team to integrate software with HSMs and other security devices.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and Helm, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
Enhance the security posture of the Ledger Recover system, including implementing best practices for cryptographic operations.
Support quality assurance processes, identifying vulnerabilities and addressing potential threats.
Optional - Develop and test frontend tools using TypeScript, Next.js, and Playwright to support user interactions


What we're looking for

Proficiency in Python 3 with experience in frameworks like FastAPI, coupled with a solid understanding of security principles (cryptography, secure system design).
Proficient in secure code development and testing using pytest, with knowledge of infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, and Helm.

The Consumer Services organization is responsible for bringing all web3 services to Ledger users, so a user can safely buy, swap or sell its crypto from Ledger Live. However, Ledger isn’t an exchange and will never be. Instead, we’re partnering with service providers whose job it is to provide exchange services, the goal being to create a one-stop shop for everything crypto.

Attention to detail in UI design with a proactive approach to enhancing user flows and overall user experience.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our UI/UX designers and backend developers to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for our web applications. Your mission

Develop high-quality, reusable, and efficient React components for our web applications while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
