About the Role
SPG Resourcing have partnered with a global logistics business to support them with hiring an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT).This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation, designing and implementing robust OT solutions that bridge the gap between IT and industrial environments. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient OT architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop OT architectures, ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
Lead the implementation of secure and resilient OT solutions across industrial environments.
Provide strategic guidance on IoT, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and other automation technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align OT solutions with business goals.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards.
Evaluate and recommend emerging OT technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Support digital transformation initiatives, focusing on edge computing, cloud, and real-time data analytics.
Act as a subject matter expert on Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Solution Architect in an Operational Technology environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, DCS, and PLCs.
Experience with network security, firewalls, and industrial cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and edge computing.
Understanding of IoT, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven analytics.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, IT specialists, and business stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Data Architect (6-Month initial Contract)
Location: Remote (workshops as required)
Contract Rate: £600+ (Outside IR35)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to join one of our clients for a critical 6-month project within the manufacturing sector. You will play a key role in the design, setup, and scaling of Microsoft Fabric operations, with the potential to progress into advanced data models. This project involves large-scale data production and will require both technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the initial build and design of the data environment, configuration, live pipeline setup, testing, automation, and release management.
Work closely with the team to set up data models, scale operations, and ensure smooth operational flow.
Leading the advanced setup and optimisation of Microsoft Fabric for data analytics, model development, and automation.
Working on the practical implementation, with a focus on data ingestion, integration, and optimisation of pipelines.
Engage with various stakeholders across the business, ensuring seamless communication and integration.
Key Skills & Expertise Required:
Microsoft Fabric Expertise: Analytics, DAX, PowerBI
Data Engineering & Integration: SQL, Python, CI/CD pipelines, ingestion, integration, and automation
Big Data Tools: PySpark, Apache Spark, Data Warehousing, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake
DevOps & Version Control: CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitHub, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
Security & Governance: Data encryption, threat detection, and governance implementation
Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with Azure is essential
Manufacturing Sector: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
