Lead Engineer
Our long-term trusted partner, a leading financial services corporation, is seeking several Lead Engineers with product knowledge in one of the following: Savings, Lending, Accounts, or Payments (Faster Payments) coupled with hands-on capabilities in either Java, C#, Python, or React to contribute to the development of their ongoing modernisation program, which will move our client's IT ecosystem into Azure cloud services.
Our client is offering a basic salary between £90,000 to £100,000 circa (DOE) + 25% bonus with additional exceptional benefits to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton twice weekly.
This is an exciting and challenging position, but please only apply if you have Banking systems experience in Savings, Lending, Accounts, or Payments (Faster Payments). This product experience is crucial, as is proven leadership capabilities overseeing small teams of engineers within an agile environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the development and implementation of a modern cloud foundation and data platform that is robust, scalable, fully automated, secure, and can support the growth of the business.
Build Scalable Architectures: Leverage modern technologies to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions.
Hands-On Coding: Actively contribute to the codebase by developing and reviewing critical components of software applications using technologies like Java, Python, or C# for backend systems and modern front-end frameworks for user interfaces (React, Angular).
API Development and Integration: Design and build secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless integration with core banking systems (e.g., Mambu) and external services like Open Banking platforms.
Data Engineering and Analytics: Work closely with data teams to define robust data pipelines and scalable cloud-based data platforms using tools like Apache Kafka, Snowflake, or Databricks.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Implement advanced monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively.
Technical Leadership in Payments: Bring domain expertise in the Payments space, including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, and Open Banking, ensuring solutions adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Code and System Optimisation: Proactively analyze and optimize existing systems for improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Core skill set for this position:
Strong experience building and scaling Savings, Lending, Accounts, or Payments (Faster Payments) applications with a focus on security compliance and performance is a must.
Strong experience working within the financial services industry, preferably in retail banking, digital banking, or investment banking, is a must.
Strong experience coding in Java, C#, Python, or React is a must.
Proven experience leading a team of cross-functional engineers, providing coaching and mentoring while being hands-on is a must.

Overview:
I am currently recruiting for a PHP Developer for one of my clients who are a global digital marketing and technology agency specialising in online gaming. We are looking for a skilled developer who possesses strong technical skills in PHP, JavaScript and AWS and is comfortable working in a face paced, high transactional environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Create effective solutions (inc. software designs) from product requirements
Produce well structured, testable code
Apply best practices (industry and internal standards)
Make sure Solutions are performant and observable in the context of a high complexity, high throughput systems via metrics and monitoring
Balance technical solutions with commercial constraints
Provide technical mentorship to less experienced members of the team
Own the technical solutions end-to-end including in production
Essential Skills and Experience:
Commercial use of a modern PHP 8+ with experience in development frameworks such as Laravel / Symfony desired

Infrastructure Deployment Engineer (6-Month Contract) - Up to £400 Per day - London - Financial Services
Job Overview:
A global British FTSE250 financial services company with over 60 locations worldwide are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join their London-based IT team.
The primary responsibilities include building, updating, and deploying Windows 11 machines, as well as providing post-deployment support on-site to high profile senior business cliental. You will assist end-users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The rollout will involve travel to various UK locations, as well as supporting the global head office site in London, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, configure, and deploy Windows 11 machines across multiple sites in the UK.
Perform system updates and installations ensuring compatibility with business applications.
Coordinate testing and deployment windows with users
Provide hands-on support for end-users, including floor walking to assist with troubleshooting and usage queries.
Ensure all deployments are carried out with attention to detail, offering a “white glove” service to a high-profile clientele.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, liaising with other IT teams as necessary to resolve technical problems.
Conduct user training where necessary, ensuring a seamless experience during and post-deployment.
Travel to different locations as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Windows 11 deployments or similar large-scale IT refresh projects.
Strong technical skills in building, updating, and deploying Windows 11 machines.
Experience in post-deployment support, including troubleshooting and user assistance.
Hardware Management Skills - Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling laptops and desktops, including knowledge of various hardware components and their functions, ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues efficiently.
Intune Management Skills - Proficiency in managing and configuring Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, policy creation, and application deployment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with high-profile users in a professional and efficient manner.
Ability to work independently and travel across the UK, supporting users on various sites.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
Preferred:
Previous experience working with high-profile or “white glove” clients.
Previous experience successfully deploying Windows 10 or Windows 11
