The What...
As a Software Development Team Leader, you will lead by example, dedicating the majority of your time to technical delivery with a focus on building scalable and maintainable software solutions, and seamless system integrations, while fostering the growth and development of your team. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives, managing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of coding, integration, and automation. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about both leading a team and delivering high-quality technical solutions.
You will proactively unblock the team, resolve obstacles, and maintain productivity by adjusting priorities and resources as needed. By fostering a culture of self-organisation and collaboration, you'll help drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with stakeholders to achieve business goals efficiently.
Here's Some Of What You'll Be Doing
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as architecture and product management, to ensure cohesive and aligned solutions across the organization that deliver the technical roadmap.
Agile Environment: Work within an Agile/Scrum framework, ensuring iterative and transparent delivery of high-quality software.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to your team of developers, helping them grow their technical skills while promoting a culture of collaboration, trust, and accountability. Facilitating 1:1s, coaching, and setting clear objectives to foster individual growth. Provide regular feedback and career development support to help team members reach their potential.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Play an active role in hiring and onboarding new team members, helping to expand the team's capabilities while ensuring a smooth integration into the team's culture.
Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to development efforts, coding in modern technologies like .NET (C#, Azure Functions, React), and driving the technical delivery of system integrations and cloud solutions.
System Integration: Build and maintain integrations with external systems, APIs, and cloud services (Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, etc.), ensuring reliable and scalable connections.
CI/CD & Automation: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Terraform to automate deployment and infrastructure management.
Cloud Technologies: Leverage serverless technologies like Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Container Apps to deliver robust, cloud-native solutions.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Advocate for clean, well-tested, and secure code, adhering to industry best practices such as test automation, security measures, and continuous improvement.
This role is based up to 3 days at our Hemel Support Office.
The Who...
To be a successful Software Development Team Leader, you'll have:
Proficiency in .NET (C#, .NET Core, Web API), React, and modern cloud-native technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Data Factory.
Experience in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and serverless computing within Azure (e.g., Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment best practices.
Experience with MS Fabric, Azure Cosmos DB, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API-first development.
Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for automation and integration tasks.
Strong experience in building system integrations, handling communication between backend systems and external devices (e.g., APIs, payment devices, printers).
Experience working in a high-performance, Agile environment, focusing on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software.

The What...
Here's some of what you'll be doing:
Develop and present actionable insights that support customer acquisition and engagement, driving optimal value for the business
Enhance the existing suite of campaign and KPI reports within the CDP and through Power BI / MS Fabric.
Analyse and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and channels, using insights to identify improvements
Support the e-commerce team with website performance analysis via the CDP and Google Analytics.
Work closely with the CRM Manager and CRM Executive to guide customer communication strategies and campaign selections. Support the Head of Data on organisation-wide data analysis projects
Collaborate with team members and external agencies to embed a data-driven decision-making approach
Manage the CRM Customer Data Platform (CDP), including setup, maintenance of data integrations, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.
Develop customer profiles and segments that can be used for campaign selection and personalisation.
Work with the Data Protection Officer, CRM Manager, and Head of Data to ensure GDPR compliance and implement data protection best practices.
This role is based 3 days at our Hemel Support Office and 2 days working from home.
