Job Title
Senior Frontend Developer
Job Description
Senior Frontend Developer / 2 month contract

YunoJuno is looking for a delivery-focused React & TypeScript engineer that would enjoy improving a product that over the years has helped our freelancers & clients deliver hundreds of thousands of successful projects together.

You'd be working alongside a team that put collaboration, the product & transparency first. It’s important to us that developers own their code all the way through to production and beyond.

We are a remote-first team operating primarily in UK-aligned hours (UTC/GMT +/-2 hours). While we embrace asynchronous work practices where possible, we maintain substantial working hours overlap to facilitate collaboration.

About you
-----------

* You know your way around modern full-stack web applications to a senior level, and understand how they fundamentally behave and communicate. We use Python & GraphQL on the backend, and TypeScript & React on the frontend.

* You have experience with landing in existing codebases and tooling up quickly.

* You are a product-focussed engineer, with a taste for what makes good software and a past track record for delivering sensible, usable features.

* You are using AI code-tooling seriously in your day to day flows, and want to be involved in projects that will be using LLMs in depth to make our platform better.

* You are comfortable owning the development process of specific scoped front-end features all the way through from the design stage, to evaluating their use in production in multiple browser configurations.

* You can carry out your work in a CI-backed environment, we use GitHub Actions + Chromatic for snapshot testing. We use Linear for project management and loosely follow their development process.

* You have fantastic written & oral English communication skills; this is very important to us as a lot of work happens asynchronously.

The Work
----------

We have a number of projects that will be discussed as part of this role, but the core of it will revolve around improving the marketplace experience for our clients & freelancers. We can speak more about this privately.

Thanks, and we look forward to meeting you.
