Within TME, our IT&D (Information Technology & Digital) division manages & supports all IT matters (on Application, Network and Infrastructure level) for entire Toyota in Europe, for the manufacturing and sales organisations.
Our team support Research and development, Production Engineering, purchasing digitalization, which means we support entire vehicle development process.

Role Description:
The selected intern will be responsible for working directly with advanced LLMs and VLLMs, implementing innovative solutions, and conducting experiments to explore the full capabilities of these models. The intern will gain experience in both backend development and user-facing applications, building interactive tools and pipelines that leverage the power of these models.

Implement and experiment with LLMs and VLLMs, focusing on practical applications and innovative use cases.

Your team and your responsibilities
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.
Your project
Responsibilities
You will be joining the Powertrain Evaluation Department, responsible for the evaluation of powertrain components, including BEV batteries. Typically, the batteries are undergoing several months of durability evaluations, according to fixed testing patterns. Those evaluations generate big amounts of data which we want to process efficiently and timely. Together with 1 experienced team member, you will work on the automation of that data processing:
Further develop, optimize, and expand the existing Python analysis tool.
Migration from local to cloud computing.
Integrate automatic generation of reports.
Embedding of generative AI in the process.
Developing multi-agent systems for data analysis applications.
Your Profile
You are fluent in English (TME’s business language).
University student with at least 2 years of study already completed in computer science or similar.
