Job Description
Luxfer MEL Technologies is a leading developer and producer of highly engineered magnesium and zirconium materials, with approximately 300 employees across the UK and US.

The Role – EICA Engineer

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, will support the Control & Instrumentation Engineer across site in the drive for digitalisation.

You will help ensure that new and existing process equipment is effectively controlled to both satisfy the requirements of the internal customer and safeguard a future-proofed solution. You will also be responsible for the technical work with regard to any relevant legislation, including health, safety and environmental requirements. Projects will be delivered by the effective management of external contractors, or LMT maintenance team members as appropriate.

What you’ll need to bring to this EICA Engineer role:

Proven experience in a control and automation role within a heavy plant industry
Experience of a range of industrial instrumentation
HNC in Electrical/Control Engineering
PLC Programming Course
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
Must have ability to use own, priorities tasks and work well under pressure
Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative and prioritise tasks
Methodical with superb attention to detail

Excel proficiency: Advanced skills required, including macros, pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization.
Communication skills: Ability to clearly convey information and answer questions effectively.
Creativity: Assist in developing creative marketing content for social media and websites.
Organisational skills: Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Team player: Must be able to collaborate effectively with a team while also working independently.
Desirable knowledge of Power BI: Training will be provided if needed.
Aptitude for learning: Ability to quickly take on new challenges and develop new skills.
Educational Requirements:Marketing & Sales Data Analyst
Minimum: A Levels.
Desirable: HND or equivalent qualification in Data Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or related subjects containing statistical training.
Systems Knowledge:Marketing & Sales Data Analyst
AXIS, Power BI (desirable but not essential), Microsoft Office Suite
