ECOM
About the Company
What does ECOM have in common with some of the world's leading organisations?
We were established in a garage, and haven’t stopped growing since. Our story began in Camden in 1999, and it’s safe to say we’ve come a long way. We pursue dynamic individuals in the digital world, extending across Manchester and London.
Our consultants are not just experts, but active members of their talent communities, immersing themselves in conferences, meetups, and ongoing training.
We specialise in Technology, Product & Agile, UX & Design, and Data & Analytics, across permanent, contract & freelance positions, and we work with a mix of organisations, from well-known brands to start-ups . Our years of first-hand experience in delivering in-demand talent have made us a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
We work hard to redefine the model of recruitment, doing things a little differently.
We put our energy into promoting events that we believe are an asset to the community, they help to enrich the business ecosystem, attracting talent and investment into the area we live in.
In all of our offices, you’ll find an Anthony Burrill quote “work hard and be nice to people”. They’re words we live by. It’s what we do.
So, what are you waiting for? Get in touch with us, and let's find the perfect match for your business. Visit our website at https://www.interquestgroup.com/brands/ecom or call us on 020 7258 2350 to speak to one of our expert consultants.

- Software Engineer (£50k + benefits)
- Job Description

Great opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a private equity backed tech company in Manchester as they scale in 2025.
You’d join a product-based squad within a larger engineering function and would be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the product you work on, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
Each squad decides the methodologies and practices they use, and the business has created an experimental culture, following a build, measure and learn approach to get quick feedback and deliver valuable increments.
The existing group are very open minded, they value teamwork over individual heroics and focus on engineering best practice like TDD and Pair Programming.
Skills:
C#, .NET Core, React
REST APIs, Microservices
AWS, Terraform, Docker
CI/CD, TDD, Pair Programming
The money is good too – up to £50k plus benefits including hybrid working (1 day per week in Manchester).

Senior Frontend Engineer - Tech4Good - Up to 60k - Manchester (2 days p/w, 3 days WFH)
ECOM are delighted to have teamed up with a Tech4Good organisation based in Manchester on their search for a Senior Frontend Engineer, which will be the first dedicated frontend hire into the organisation.
They're a Tech for Good organisation that are using technology to help people save money on their energy consumption and in turn, helping the environment - so a win win for everyone.
As the first Frontend hire into the business, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining user centric React apps, ensuring accessibility, performance and responsiveness. As part of this you'll be building out component libraries and frontend libraries as part of your day to day.
Because this is the first Frontend hire, you'll have a lot of the say into the direction of the tech but for now they're using modern JS frameworks and to be applicable for the role you'll need to be well versed in Typescript/Javascript and React as well as clear evidence of collaborating with UX teams to build out component libraries with tools such as Storybook.
The benefits are good too, with a salary on offer up to 60k with a 10% bonus plus a comprehensive additional benefits package that you can tailor to your needs (instead of having benefits you'll never use!)
The client is also operating a flexible hybrid working policy. The tech team usually get together in Manchester a couple of times per week with the rest working remotely. They also operate flexitime so you can flex your start and finish times to suit you, so works well around things like childcare, football training or having a lie in!
If this sounds like something that would suit you, click apply and I'll be in touch ASAP
