LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER

Filton based
Opportunity for 2 days a week from home
35 hour working week over 4.5 days
BPSS clearance required (client will provide sponsorship)

WHAT WILL THE LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER BE DOING?
The role will provide the opportunity to ensure the structural design of the Wings meets the desired airworthiness and product requirements. You’ll provide design leadership and take ownership of Lean Engineering improvements. Other roles include:
Leading complex and/or multi value projects
Risk management
Finding creative solutions for complex problems

WE NEED THE LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER TO HAVE….
Previous Aircraft Design experience
Experience with CATIA V5, ICC, ECM & Pass
Holds a Design Approver or Authorisation Signatory
The ability to go through a BPSS check

Job Description

REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER

CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER
£46 to £50ph inside IR35
Initial contract until December 2025
Onsite in Filton - opportunity for 2 days a week from home
35 hour working week over 4.5 days
BPSS clearance required (client will provide sponsorship)

WHAT WILL THE REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER BE DOING?
The role will provide the opportunity to join a team responsible for the static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures. This team work closely with the Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures. Other roles include:
Completing justification reports and other engineering documentation
Working with skilled designers to develop optimum repairs
Using ISAMI and Mathcad to perform structural static strength analysis of repairs

WE NEED THE REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER TO HAVE….
Previous repairs experience on Airbus aircraft programmes
Have an Aircraft Structural Engineering background
Knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad
Experience using a range of hand and computer methods to complete static analysis
Composite material experience would also be beneficial
The ability to go through a BPSS check

WHAT WILL THE SATELLITE AIT ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER BE DOING?
You will be involved in the preparation of test procedures, writing and debugging test sequences for Satellite system testing. You will also be executing test sequences on flight spacecraft and test benches. Additionally:
Providing technical inputs to project test reviews (Test Readiness Reviews, Post Test Reviews, Test Review Boards and Non-Conformance Review Boards)
Preparing and executing spacecraft system investigations in line with actions from Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs).

WE NEED THE SATELLITE AIT ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER TO HAVE…
Previous experience in Aerospace, Space, Defence or High-Tech Manufacturing
Experience working on Test Systems
Competent in the use of various test equipment used for electrical measurements
Familiar with the Windows and Linux operating systems.
Test sequence writing and debugging in a bespoke language (C and Java knowledge would be an advantage)
An active SC clearance
