About the role
This is a technical role that will suit a senior professional who has experience and is passionate about helping organisations transform and adopt Azure services. You will act as a technical authority in this discipline and provide technical consultancy in both, presales and project delivery across the full project lifecycle, ensuring that the technical solutions (proposed and delivered) meet customer needs.
As such, you will need to have deep expertise in designing and implementing cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions using Azure technologies, such as Azure IaaS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory, and Microsoft network services. Additionally, you will leverage Azure DevOps tools to streamline and automate the development, testing, and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
Act as the technical authority and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions using Azure technologies.
Utilise Azure DevOps tools to automate and optimise the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of solutions.
Technically manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to testing and deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery of solutions.
Collaborate with the wider delivery team and the Project Managers to deliver projects.
Contribute to post-project lessons learned meetings chaired by the Project Managers.
Work with the Services team to ensure appropriate handover to Service at project closure. Provide training, documentation, and assistance to the support team as services transition into operations.
Strong experience and relevant certification in Azure services and Azure DevOps tools.
Solid understanding and exposure to other adjacent technologies such as networking, security, data, and virtualisation.
Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, administration, security, and governance.
Proficient in PowerShell and other Azure tools and APIs.
Strong working knowledge and experience delivering projects and programmes of change.
Familiar with infrastructure as code (e.g., Bicep and/or Terraform) and working in multiple environments.
Understanding of Azure networking concepts such as private endpoints, Azure Virtual WAN, hub and spoke architectures and ALZ (Azure Landing zone Bicep modules).

- Job Description

Radius is seeking a M&E Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager .
Reporting to the Programme Delivery Director, the Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager (Projects & Commercial) will provide in house Quantity Surveying service on all infrastructure projects / programmes.
This involves initial estimating / budget forecasting, cost plan management, consultant and contractor selection, preliminaries drafting, tendering, contractor negotiation, valuations, variation control, cost reporting and final accounting. Additionally, to support the financial management functions normally carried out in an end operator construction business including internal Purchase Order reconciliation and cash flow.
More than 5 years’ experience in running construction projects, ideally within the data centre industry or those with a very complex services content.
Extensive experience in an environment where ‘front end’ activities such as project estimating and cost planning are routinely carried out.
Able to provide all the quantity surveying input necessary to run construction contracts of £10m-30m, where external quantity surveying firms are not appointed
Excellent communication skill with the ability to explain technical matters in a way that can be clearly understood by a non-technical audience
Demonstrable experience of managing a critical supply chain
A sound track record in risk management.
The main responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:
To own all commercial elements of pre-contracting for each project / programme to deliver:
Costs
Estimated budget costs for each scheme
Cost planning for each scheme and option
Cashflow plan for each scheme / option to allow for clear funding plan
Documents
Internal approval of scope / briefs and similar third party documents
An approved Procurement Strategy / method for each project
An appropriate and agreed contracting approach for each project
Agreed tender documents that allow selection of the best & most appropriate supply chain / partners
Preparation of all preliminaries
Completed contract bundles using the appropriate legal advice / support
Completed third party appointments using the appropriate legal advice and support
Management
Representation at all pre-contract meetings, providing advice or assistance to all other professionals
Management of any tender processes and selection of the best & most appropriate suppliers / partners
The best outcome in all commercial negotiations
Working / liaising with external Quantity Surveyors (where appointed) to deliver all of the above
Cost Management & Reporting
Contract variations that are agreed by all stakeholders, formally instructed and managed & recorded via a formal contract framework
Accurate and agreed interim valuations that allow payments to contractors to be made
Accurate cost reporting and reconciliation to agreed costs plans / budgets
A final accounting review / payment with contractors / suppliers
Management

Key Responsibilities
Define and implement data architecture strategies in line with the Customer Journey programme
Guide the data-driven decision-making process, ensuring that data is effectively utilised to inform business strategies and initiatives.
Develop data plan to address data quality issues in line with To-Be Processes
Drive the adoption of data best practices by facilitating the sharing of tools, techniques, and methodologies. Collaborate with data owners and IT to generate insights and apply them to business challenges.
Work with the business to identify data owners to drive data integrity and quality
Work with stakeholders across the business to understand data requirements and ensure this is captured in future data models
Work with the business to design, build and maintain data models
Create detailed design documentation for data architecture designs including data flow artifacts and data dictionaries.
Define and help drive best practices for data design, capture and storage
Ensure high data quality standards are set and maintained across the business and adherence to regulations (e.g. GDPR)
