Location: Manchester, UK (On-site)

An innovative climate-tech company at the forefront of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology will be seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.
This pioneering organization is dedicated to removing CO₂ from the atmosphere using a novel approach that integrates cutting-edge electrolyzer technology and renewable energy solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving industry focused on global decarbonization.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise on electrical engineering interfaces, regulatory compliance, and grid connection requirements for DAC projects.
Evaluate and select key electrical components to ensure optimal performance, working closely with suppliers to understand specifications.
Act as the primary electrical engineering expert within project teams, offering technical guidance and innovative solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and process engineers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the DAC process.
Design and optimize electrical distribution systems at low and medium voltage levels.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in electrical engineering within industrial-scale carbon capture applications.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in electrical systems design, ideally within industrial processes, energy systems, maritime, or power industries.
Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems at low and medium voltage; experience in designing such systems is highly desirable.
Passion for clean energy technologies and a strong desire to contribute to the energy transition.
Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards.

Job Description
Job Title: Land High Voltage Cable System Design Engineer
Location: Calais or Lille or Paris La Défense
Contract length: 6-months (potential to extend)
Start date: ASAP
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Working Conditions: 3 days in office, 2 days from home

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit technical offers for HV cable systems based on client RFQs.
Review client specifications and define optimal cable system designs.
Perform electrical calculations (e.g., current capacity, impedances, losses).
Finalize technical documents with Project Managers for execution phase.
Issue final cable designs and deliverables for client approval.
Attend client technical meetings and provide design support.
Travel for client meetings and project support as needed.
Coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution.

Requirements:
A few years of experience within HV Cable business is preferred
Experience in HV Cable design (preferred, but not required)
Strong skills in Mathcad, electrical calculations, and technical studies
Fluent in English

Engineering Design Lead

Engineering Design Lead required for driving technical execution from R&D to commercial deployment in the clean energy sector.

Responsibilities: Engineering Design Lead
Seamless integration from R&D to commercial deployment.
Lead and manage a team of engineers across all disciples including commissioning, process, electrical and mechanical engineers.
Oversee technical design, process engineering, and system integration, ensuring all projects meet performance, cost, and scalability targets.
Collaborate closely with R&D, product, and operations teams to translate innovation into deployable solutions.
Support pilot plant and full-scale deployment efforts, ensuring smooth handover from design to implementation.
Manage engineering budgets and resources, balancing short-term project delivery with long-term growth needs.

Requirements: Engineering Design Lead
Proven leadership experience in engineering management.
Strong expertise in process engineering, mechanical systems, electrochemistry, or industrial technology development.
Hands-on experience in scaling hardware products from concept to commercial deployment.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, working with internal teams, suppliers, and external technical partners.

Ideally you will also have:
Experience in a high-growth start-up environment.
Background in large-scale hardware or process engineering projects.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary, international engineering teams
Experience in cleantech/green energy sector.

My client is seeking a number of Cabling Data Centre Technicians for their site in Slough. This will be a long-term contract role, starting ASAP.

Experience Needed:
Experience in structured cabling in data centres
Proficient in CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, fibre optic, and coaxial cabling
Knowledge of data centre infrastructure and cabling standards
Experience with fibre optic splicing and testing would be a bonus
