As an Open Data Engineer, you will work within the Strategy Regulation and Support Services, Information Systems directorate based in our London office. You will be a permanent employee with a competitive salary of £55,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. After a 6-month probationary period, enjoy the flexibility of blended working with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
In this role, you will:
Lead the publication of open data, engaging with external partners and influencing senior leaders internally.
Engineer sustainable and scalable open data pipelines using Python and SQL.
Collaborate with UK Power Networks' diverse data community to develop industry-leading data services.
Manage the continuous development of the Open Data Portal and ensure data provision resilience.
Secure the Open Data Portal and manage data sharing risks.

Job Description
Are you a cybersecurity expert looking for an exciting opportunity to protect critical infrastructure? Join our team as a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Level 2 Analyst at UK Power Networks!
As a SOC Level 2 Analyst, you will play a crucial role in responding to cybersecurity events and alerts, ensuring our network systems and customer data are protected from cyber threats. You will work with a variety of security tools and systems, including IBM QRadar, FortiSiem, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, McAfee Web Gateway, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and Darktrace. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £60,000.00, a 7.5% bonus, and blended working options after a 6-month probationary period.
Join a collaborative team of around 14 cyber security operations staff and work closely with technical resources from our outsourced Cyber Security Managed Service provider and cyber security tooling vendors. You will have the opportunity to participate in regular cyber-attack simulation exercises, recommend improvements to security event detection and mitigation strategies, and create strong relationships with internal and external technology teams.
