Full Stack Engineer, App Studio
Job Description
Location Qualifications: This role is available for hybrid work (2 days in office) from our offices in Bucharest or Ghent.

About The Position

The App Studio team is an innovation-focussed team that builds apps and solutions on top of Showpad, as an extension to our core platform. App Studio complements our core product and professional services teams to provide a holistic enablement solution to our customers. By joining our team, you will contribute to a strategic effort that makes Showpad stand out from our competition.

As a full stack backend engineer, you will be responsible for incubating and building differentiating Showpad apps, integrations and solutions. You will work in a cross-functional team known as a small but fast-paced, a highly agile team implementing quality solutions using the latest technologies and having a clean and consistent codebase.

Our code is entirely written in TypeScript: mostly Angular and React in the front-end and our serverless heavy in the back-end on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, SQS, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, CDK. We are strong believers of using the right tool for the job.

Key Responsibilities

Own the apps and solutions we build from start to end (“you build it you run it”), together with the team
Collaborate with our customers, professional services consultants, other engineering teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements and identify new app ideas and features
Design, develop, maintain, support, test and release these features, apps, integrations and automations with a strong focus on quality
Continuously improve our solutions and services to improve and ensure quality, improve operational efficiency or integrate new technologies and features

Required Skills

Experience with front end technologies incl. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern javascript front-end frameworks such as React and Angular
Experience with back end languages, preferably NodeJS
Experience with cloud-native development, preferably AWS, and infrastructure-as-code. A certification is a plus
Solid experience with API’s
A keen eye for quality, minimizing complexity, and a ‘right tool for the job’ mentality
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience working in small high-performing, self-starting teams is a plus
Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and tackle additional responsibilities
