**Job Title:** Surface Autonomous Drone Implementation & Maintenance Engineer (F/M)
**Role Summary:**
Lead the implementation, validation, and maintenance of surface autonomous drones, ensuring system performance and reliability. Plan and execute test campaigns, onboard sea trials, and operational deployments both domestically and internationally, while providing technical leadership in troubleshooting, system updates, and crew training.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality deployment and maintenance outcomes for autonomous surface drones.
- Maintain rigorous safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Travel within France and abroad for operations, testing, and demonstrations.
- Adjust working hours to match campaign schedules, including sea‑site duties.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Deployment & Trial Management** – Plan and coordinate test, validation, and deployment activities; supervise technical preparations (integration, configuration, calibration, checklists).
2. **Sea‑Trial Leadership** – Define protocols, monitor performance, analyze data, draft technical reports, and conduct post‑mission reviews.
3. **Diagnostics & Maintenance** – Identify and resolve complex firmware, electronics, communication, or navigation anomalies; define corrective actions and upgrade paths; oversee technician maintenance tasks.
4. **System Integration** – Integrate new payloads and system updates; capture field feedback for continuous improvement.
5. **Mission Preparation** – Assemble, configure, and verify mechanical, electronic, and IT systems; conduct sensor calibrations and logistics preparation.
6. **Documentation & Quality Assurance** – Author and maintain operation, test, and maintenance manuals; support technical audits and regulatory compliance.
7. **Training & Knowledge Transfer** – Conduct training sessions for technicians and end‑users on deployment and maintenance practices.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in embedded mechatronic architectures for maritime robotics.
- Proficient in communication protocols: Ethernet, CAN, NMEA, Modbus.
- Skilled with diagnostic, calibration, and test tools.
- Strong data‑analysis and technical report writing capabilities.
- Leadership, pedagogical aptitude, meticulousness, and safety focus.
- Analytical problem‑solving and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Effective client communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Engineer degree or Master’s in Embedded Systems, Maritime Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of maritime operational experience in maintenance, implementation, integration, or operation of complex systems such as robotics, drones, or autonomous vessels.
- Relevant certifications in marine systems or autonomous technology preferred but not mandatory.
