Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and approachable Server Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Windows server administration and a solid understanding of infrastructure technologies. A key requirement for this role is effectively engaging with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders and offering a friendly and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

This hybrid role balances on-site and remote work, offering flexibility while ensuring efficient delivery of critical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Server-Side Duties:
Administer, troubleshoot, and patch Windows Server environments (2008-2022).
Manage and maintain virtualisation platforms, including VMware ESXi 7.0.3, 8, and Nutanix.
Implement and oversee backup solutions, preferably Veeam or Commvault.
Configure and manage core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Apply a foundational understanding of networking principles to troubleshoot and optimise server infrastructure.

End User Computing (EUC) Duties:
Deploy, package, and manage systems via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
Administer, reimage, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 endpoints.
Oversee O365 administration, including migration from on-premises environments.

Collaboration and Communication:
Build strong relationships across teams by proactively engaging stakeholders and third-party vendors.
Be approachable and responsive, taking the initiative to resolve issues with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in Windows Server administration (2008-2022).
Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and Nutanix virtualisation platforms.
Proficiency in backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault preferred).
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Familiarity with networking concepts and their application in server management.
Experience with SCCM for packaging, deployment, and imaging.
Administration and troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 systems.
Knowledge of O365 administration and migration processes.
