Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated junior/mid-level Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build, maintain, and scale Meshh’s brand-new spatial analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have a first experience in PHP and the Laravel framework and JavaScript (ideally Vue.js), with a keen interest in data analytics. You’ll play an active role in developing the user interfaces and systems that deliver actionable insights to our global clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure an exceptional user experience and robust analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications and systems using PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript (Vue.js).
Frontend Development: Design and implement user-friendly and responsive web interfaces that bring data analytics to life for our customers.
Backend Development: Develop and optimize backend services and APIs that power data-driven features and integrations.
Data Analytics Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate complex analytics into our client-facing applications.
System Optimisation: Ensure performance, scalability, and security of web applications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver innovative product features and bespoke solutions for clients.
Code Quality: Follow best practices in software development, including code reviews, unit testing, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in full stack web development.
Knowledge in PHP with the Laravel framework.
Solid experience with JavaScript, ideally the Vue.js framework.
Knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
Understanding of software engineering best practices (version control, testing, clean code, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a small team environment.

Nice to Have

Working knowledge of Python
Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS
Working knowledge of Docker
Interest in applying GenAI tools to optimize developer performance.
A keen interest in data analytics/visualisation
