Job Opportunity: Electrical Automation Engineer – Life Sciences Industry
Location: Belgium | Hybrid Option Available
Employment Type: Contract - 12 Months
Rate: 60 - 80 euros per hour
Position Overview:
We are partnering with a global biotech company to find a highly skilled Electrical Automation Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will work at the forefront of technology to design, develop, and optimise electrical automation systems for research and manufacturing environments. Your expertise will play a crucial part in advancing the company's scientific and manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimise electrical automation solutions for laboratory and manufacturing systems, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and execute automated test protocols, including system validation, performance testing, and troubleshooting, using tools like Siemens PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Utilise TIA Portal to configure, program, and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, ensuring optimal performance of automation systems.
Leverage hands-on experience with EPlan software for electrical design, schematics, and documentation of automation systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance) to integrate automation systems into production processes and ensure project goals are met.
Provide technical support and training on automation systems to internal teams.
Maintain detailed documentation of all automation systems and activities in accordance with company policies.
What You Need to Be Successful:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Siemens PLC programming, particularly using TIA Portal or PCS7
Strong working knowledge of SCADA and HMI systems for process control and automation.
Extensive experience using EPlan software for electrical design, circuit diagrams, and system documentation.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including GMP and FDA guidelines.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse data and identify root causes of system issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in system commissioning, qualification, and start-up is highly beneficial.
