We are currently recruiting for a Data Engineer for a newly created role in the group. The key objective of the role is to take control of the various data sources and databases and ensure the correct data is available to key stakeholders in the most effective way. The role will report to the Commercial Director and will be key part of the commercial team working closely with our Data Scientist, Pricing and IT teams.
Key Accountabilities
• Maintaining single source of truth so there is one set of data that can be used by varying reporting audiences to achieve their business request/need
• Develop and maintain our data sets to support reporting and analysis.
• Assist in developing ETL process to import new data sets, either via API or internal sources
• Proactively engage with key business stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure the data assets under management are maintained in-line with business needs
• Engage with 3rd parties in the sourcing of additional data
• Maintain documentation related to the datasets to ensure auditing and data dictionaries are accurate
• Perform data quality tests and reviews of existing data and improve structure and content where needed
• Assess and recommend available and emerging big data technologies.
• Develop an excellent understanding of relevant internal and external data sources.

Experience & skills required
• Demonstrable knowledge of SQL, Python or similar coding language
• Demonstrable knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data lakes and ETL
• Exposure of merging data sets from different solutions to form one unique data set
• A degree in a relevant field at least at bachelor's level
• Ability to work accurately and to tight timescales
• Self-starter who wants the opportunity to make a real commercial difference to the business performance using data
• Ability to solve problems here and now but also ability to think strategically for the future

We are currently recruiting for two Data Science Analysts (Graduates); working closely together and playing crucial roles to the business. One Analyst will support the Commercial and Operations teams to deliver the UK and EU commercial strategies and enable the business to achieve its objectives. The second Analyst providing support to the pricing team to deliver the UK and EU pricing strategies and enable the business to achieve its objectives through dynamic pricing.
Key Accountabilities
• Partner with other support departments to discover and deliver projects that use data and statistics in identifying trends and optimisation to support decision making
• Perform statistical analysis on our customer base and formulate either pricing strategies or commercial strategies to optimise revenue.
• Deliver insights to drive business decisions and design algorithms that can be used to improve either our pricing or operational strategy.
• Develop an excellent understanding of relevant internal and external data sources.
• Work together with other departments and stakeholders to develop and promote best practices in analytics and experimentation across the company.
• Design and build internal self-service analytics and experimentation tooling.

Experience & skills required
• A Master’s degree in a quantitative or statistical subject.
• An ability to articulate and interpret commercial-based questions, identifying and querying data (SQL) and using statistics to arrive at an answer.
• A sound understanding of statistics (probability distributions, sampling, hypothesis testing, regression) and some practical experience in applying some of these concepts in real-life problems.
• Experience using statistical software and programming using R, SQL, Python or similar in datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to understand business needs of cross-functional stakeholders, deliver findings and recommendations, as well as to drive collaboration.

Preferred Requirements
• Experience in identifying opportunities for product or business improvements and measuring the success of those initiatives.
• Experience in applying modelling techniques e.g. time series forecasting, segmentation / clustering, anomaly detection.

For the role of Data Insights Analyst, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual, ready to get stuck into some extremely interesting projects and work with some huge global brands.

• Analyse data to identify different audience segments and their media consumption habits.

The ideal candidate….
• Experience working with consumer focused data and audiences
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau)
• Previous experience in data storytelling, data translation and delivering insights to a variety of audiences
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues within data and developing solutions to address them
• Knowledge of different media channels (social media, print, television, online advertising) and their metrics
• Effectively presenting complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

Remote Working - UK Home-based with occasional travel into the office

£52,737 - £66,197 (National Framework) or £58,409- £71,869 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25)

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Data Scientist with a strong background in Advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) to lead, mentor and up skill a team of Data Scientists. Collaborating cross-functionally the role will focus on the delivery of AI and Data Science programmes across the organisation, driving Data Quality, Data Governance and Best Practice. Proven and demonstratable experience of Python coding and clouding computing is required coupled with fantastic communication skills to problem solve and influence across all levels of the organisation. This is a leadership role and proven experience of leading a team to deliver is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery AI and Data Science programme across the organisation
Lead and develop the Data Science Team.
Champion Data Science and Advanced Statistics, providing advice to colleagues on the delivery of complex analytic work.
Contribute to the development of the AI and Data science programme to drive high impact data science outcomes.
Experience of leading a team to deliver Data Science solutions
Promote excellence and innovation in data science methods for measuring the quality of health and social care services, learning from best practice (national/international), both internally and externally.
Assess the effectiveness of different advanced statistical and data science modelling approaches and advise data scientists on best tools and approaches to support organisational commitments.
Manage competing demands for Data Science work within the Data & Insight unit, ensuring sufficient capacity to deliver while managing stakeholder expectations.
Build and drive relationships internally and externally in order to deliver the AI and Data Science programme.
Lead and facilitate multi-disciplinary teams from across the unit to deliver outcomes.
Assure that appropriate quality control and assurance is undertaken to ensure consistency, accuracy and relevance of unit outputs.
Stay abreast of internal and external developments in data, policy and structures of care delivery.
Promote a culture of respect and fairness and understand personal responsibilities around delivering against diversity and inclusion strategy.

Skills and Experience

Post-graduate qualification in relevant subject or has equivalent professional experience.
In-depth understanding of a wide range of data science techniques, such as machine learning and natural language processing, and able to apply them to a variety of analytic problems.
Previous experience in delivery of complex, advanced analytics and/or data science solutions.
Expert working knowledge of a range of data science tools, especially Python, R, and SQL
Experience of cloud computing - Cloud Computing – Azure, AWS or GCP
Substantial experience working in cloud-based tools like Databricks for Machine Learning, Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry as well as experience helping others to use them.
Experience of delivering Data Science models into production at scale, and collaboration with architecture and engineering teams.
Proven experience in leading and developing data science or complex analytics teams.
Strong persuading and influencing abilities.
Proven experience in managing conflict and articulating coherent rationales for action.
Proven ability to anticipate problems, know how to prevent them and understand how problems fit into the larger picture. Can also develop problem solving capabilities in others.
Expert ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate discussions across high risk and complexity or under constrained timescales.
Proven ability to tailor communication in a compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
