We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled SIEM Engineer to join their team for a three-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
Build and deploy innovative technical solutions to advance the security capability of the Cyber Security Operations function.
Manage and oversee the configuration of various security tools to enable key stakeholders, such as CSOC and Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering (THaDE).
Collaborate with application administrators across the business to onboard data sources into the SIEM data lake.
Optimise forensic telemetry collection mechanisms to ensure accurate and efficient parsing and ingestion to the SIEM.
Build resilient forensic telemetry collection technologies to support 24/7/365 monitoring.
Spearhead process improvement and curate, update and develop an internal cyber engineering knowledgebase (bonus points if you're already skilled in Mermaid or Markdown!)

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Has proven experience working with SIEM platforms and related tooling.
Has a strong understanding of SIEM concepts and best practices. o Is familiar with SIEM telemetry onboarding processes and techniques.
Is knowledgeable about various data source formats and protocols (e.g., syslog, JSON, REST API).
Has experience in troubleshooting and resolving data quality or ingestion issues.
Has previously worked closely with security tooling such as EDR, Deception Tech, Malware Sandboxes, Vulnerability Management Tooling, etc.
Is familiar with security incident response and investigation processes.
Has excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Has strong communication and collaboration abilities.
May have relevant certifications (e.g. GIAC), but this is not required.

As a Senior Technical Analyst (Ops Analyst) in the Mainframe Support Team, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our core banking platform. Your responsibilities will include technical testing, environment management, and deployment of mainframe components from test environments to live production. You will work independently and collaboratively, ensuring the successful delivery of testing strategies while driving improvements and efficiencies within the team.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
• Mainframe Testing & Execution: Manage the scope, modify JCL, and execute mainframe testing based on technical design documents, incorporating internal and external system interfaces.
• Component Preparation & Deployment: Prepare and promote new and modified program objects, JCL, PROCLIBS, Parmlibs, and operational documentation for production use.
• Test Strategy & Execution: Develop and oversee mainframe test strategies, execute test regimes (JCL and Batch), and report progress, results, and defects.
• Code Deployment & Validation: Support SIT, UAT, OAT, and performance testing, ensuring seamless code deployment and data validation.
• Production Job Scheduling: Provide CA-7 scheduling instructions for creating and modifying production job schedules.
• Implementation & Go-Live Support: Contribute to the creation of Production Implementation Plans and provide go-live and warranty support, including occasional overnight and weekend work.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with peers, domain test managers, IT departments, business teams, and third parties to ensure clear technical and analytical communication.
• Process Improvement & Research: Identify areas for process improvement, assess environmental/testing constraints, and analyze their impact.
• Workload Management: Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing workload effectively.
• Technical Skill Development: Continuously enhance technical skills to meet evolving project demands.
• Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with QA standards and SDLC processes, proactively managing risks and issues.

Required Skills/Experience
• Mainframe Expertise: Strong understanding of z/OS, TSO, ISPF, JCL, CICS, TWS, CA-7, CA-11, Alchemist, Endevor, Connect Direct, File Manager, Datacom, IBM Utilities.
• Testing & Support Experience: Proven track record in mainframe operations, testing, and deployment for major projects.
• QA & SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and industry benchmarks.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage risks and project-level issues.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and engage effectively at all levels.
• Cross-Platform Testing Experience: Exposure to functional and non-functional testing across multiple applications and environments.
• Educational Background: Degree/postgraduate qualification, IBM professional certification, or equivalent experience.
• Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, SMAX, and other industry-standard applications

I are looking for a motivated Junior IT Build Engineer to join one of my biggest clients. You will assist with building and configuring IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, and servers. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with hardware assembly and troubleshooting while learning from experienced engineers.

Assemble and configure desktop PCs, laptops, and servers.
