Job Description

Software Engineer - React Native - Energy Industry - Contract role

The React Native Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing a mobile app that provides their customers with a seamless, user-friendly experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to create features focused on sustainable energy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React Native development, along with experience in backend technologies such as Node.js or Python.

Remote with adhoc travel onsite

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to define and implement new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following best practices and coding standards.
Integrate with backend services and APIs, leveraging Node.js or Python for backend development to support mobile app functionality.
Optimize app performance, ensuring smooth operation on both iOS and Android platforms.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across the app and backend, ensuring timely resolution.
Work in an agile environment with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Requirements:
Strong experience in React Native development and building mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms.
Experience with Node.js or Python for backend development, including building RESTful APIs or serverless architectures.
Familiarity with mobile app lifecycle and development tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio).
Experience integrating third-party APIs and services into mobile apps.
Solid understanding of version control (Git) and agile methodologies.
A passion for sustainable energy is a plus.

Desirable:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and serverless technologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile testing frameworks.
