We’re looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join a growing tech team working on an exciting new platform. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge search technologies and large-scale data processing while contributing to a product that makes a real impact.
Your Role
As a Senior Java Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining a robust data platform that powers our core products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create highly performant and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, well-structured code using Agile and TDD practices
Develop new features across the full stack, from React/TypeScript front-end to Java-based backend services
Build and optimize search solutions using technologies like Apache Lucene, Solr, or OpenSearch
Design and implement data pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineers
Work with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for scalable data processing
Conduct code reviews, participate in pair programming, and mentor junior developers

Your background
Strong Java development experience in a professional setting
Exposure to Python for data processing is a plus
Experience working with large-scale data workflows for search or analytics
Familiarity with search technologies (Apache Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch)
Comfortable with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) or willing to learn
Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB, etc.)
Experience in Agile and DevOps environments with a focus on automated testing

Eden Scott are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Corporate Action Analyst to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will play a vital part in processing and managing corporate action events, ensuring timely and accurate execution for a range of investment products. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external custodians to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, capture, and validate all corporate action events (e.g., dividends, mergers, rights issues) across global markets.
Liaise with custodians, fund managers, and other departments to ensure accurate dissemination and processing of information.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of entitlements and client instructions.
Reconcile corporate action entitlements and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to process improvements and risk mitigation.
Support the wider operations team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Skills & Experience
Prior experience in a corporate actions or securities operations role is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
Good understanding of financial markets and corporate actions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Knowledge of industry systems (e.g., SWIFT, Bloomberg, CREST) is advantageous.

The Opportunity
As the Infrastructure PM, you’ll play a pivotal role in:
Delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring strict adherence to governance, risk, and regulated frameworks.
Leading and coordinating a team of technical experts, driving successful delivery of business and IT outcomes.
Managing full project lifecycle implementation, including scope, resources, schedule, and financials.
