This is an exciting Director role to lead our go to market approach for cyber security services with a focus on Banking sector within Financial Services (FS). A key emphasis of the role will be on originating and leading the delivery of cyber security engagements to clients and contributing to the leadership of our FS cyber security business.
Work with collaboratively with the leadership of the FS cyber security business, cyber security capability leads and our alliance partners to deliver the cyber security business plan for banking clients.
Grow our current footprint to meet market demand and clients' issues whilst exploiting the adjacencies across our current engagements.
Build relationships with other parts of the firm (eg cloud, data, technology transformation, technology risk) to bind offerings together.
Actively contribute to relationships with our strategic alliance partners to drive collaboration and sales opportunities.
Lead and maintain our people capability by managing and developing the technical skills of the team and growing our team.
Originate and lead on sales opportunities.
Develop relationships internally and externally and build a pipeline of opportunities and/or sell engagements to clients.
Lead the delivery of security engagements.
Define the people requirements (eg skills, experience, etc.) to strengthen our team of cyber security resources and lead the recruitment of these resources.
Reporting to the Lead Cyber Security Partner for FS the Director role involves:
Taking accountability for the delivery of FS cyber security engagements and leading multiple engagements on a day to day basis with the assistance of Senior Managers/Managers in the team.
Being responsible for expanding our cyber security services in the FS sector.
Providing leadership and collaborating with people across the coverage groups on the cyber security services to deliver a clear and unified strategy.
Leading FS sales origination/business development initiatives and acting as an integral part of the broader Technology and Cyber Security leadership team.
Contributing to the overall FS cyber security strategy by identifying where there are opportunities for growth and developing the strategy to capitalise on cyber security risk opportunities in this sector.
Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CIO, CRO, COO, CISO or Head of Technology level) across a range of FS organisations.
Actively identifying and progressing FS business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations.
Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across the business.
Coaching and developing team members as part of our overall performance management process or on specific engagements.
Contributing to practice management eg training, knowledge management, thought leadership, etc.
Travelling in the UK to regional offices and in particular regularly attending the Canary Wharf offices; and travelling in the UK or internationally supporting client delivery where required.

The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor degree qualification.
MBA or Master degree (Desirable).
Experience of working in the Financial Services sector including working with large, global organisations.
Experience of working at senior level as a cyber security subject matter expert.
Commercially aware and with industry relationships that will enable achievement of revenue in the region of £1.5+ million per year.
Wide industry exposure with a depth of technical security knowledge and experience in cyber security.
Experience and knowledge of the regulatory environment facing clients in the Financial sector; with a particular focus on technology, cyber security and privacy relevant regulations.
Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and delivering cyber security and technology advisory and assurance/managed services to large/medium, multi-national clients.
Proven experience of delivering cyber security advice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience, extensive relevant sales experience, negotiation and project management skills.
Sound understanding of risk management in professional services environment.

Our Client is looking for a Senior Manager who lives and breathes hacking and information security. You will have earned your stripes doing CHECK work in data centres and be ready to, or already skilled in leading teams of talented testers.
The Cyber Defence (CDS) Team conducts client facing technical assurance and penetration testing and has a long and successful history within the Client. Our clients are diverse and we cover many sectors with particular specialisms in Financial Services, High-end Defence Assurance and Telecommunications. We work closely with the NCSC developing new schemes such as Cross Domain Solutions Testing and are members of all current NCSC and Crest testing schemes - as a result we conduct interesting and challenging work that isn't on offer elsewhere.
Our team is made up of skilled individuals at different stages in their careers, centred around three locations in Leeds, Bristol and London, therefore we are able to offer flexibility in base location, as well as embracing remote working and team management.
Responsibilities
As this is a senior role, we want your business brain as well as your technical hacking skills. You will have ideas of how to drive the business forward, and be skilled in the commercial aspects of security testing, above all you will know what clients are looking for when they buy security testing and how to deliver it.
Aspects of the role include:
Management and delivery of penetration testing services to clients to include the following:
Scoping
Financial and risk management
Delivery of testing and the oversight of testers
Review of deliverables (QA)
Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge.
Performance management of junior staff.
Continuous development of self and team, including managing client feedback.
Monitoring quality of service and products to clients and carrying out improvement or development as necessary.
Actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal writing and assisting with client presentations and debriefs.
Developing constructive client relationships
Developing an understanding of our Client's broader offerings to enable identification of business opportunities
Experience and Background
Required:
Clear and demonstrable understanding of red-teaming/penetration testing, including NCSC and Crest accredited schemes such as xBEST, STAR/STAR-FS, CHECK, CCSAS
Proven experience working within the UK cyber security industry
Demonstrable understanding and practical application of information security principles
Strong technical background in computing, networks, and programming
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
A genuine interest and desire to work with large multi-national clients in the information security field.
Advantageous:
CCT-App or CSTL-App.
Knowledge of NCSC CTAS and CPA Assurance Schemes
Knowledge of working in secure environments (List X facilities) and accredited labs (ISO17025)
Research and Development experience
Threat Intelligence experience
Standing and positive reputation in the information security community is seen as a plus.
