Job Description
TrueNorth are pleased to be supporting an established organisation in their search for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the team.

The role is a growth role in an established cloud operations team, which will support the organisation's day to day business as well as be a key part of their ongoing global IT transformation.

The role will involve:
Provisioning, Configuring and Maintaining Public Cloud infrastructure resources, including virtual machines, serverless computing, storage, databases, networking, and other cloud services.
Develop and maintain automation processes and tools for provisioning and configuring cloud resources to streamline cloud operation tasks.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks, outages, and service disruptions.
Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, processes, and operational procedures.

Key skills required:
Excellent understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and managing cloud environments - Azure is preferred but AWS and GCP are also okay as long as you're happy upskilling in Azure
Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or others.
Problem solving and excellent communication across technical and non technical audiences.
The ability to work in a team really well - this organisation prides itself on the teams and culture it has created and works hard to protect it.

Beneficial (and if you don't have these you'll be able to pick up while working here..):
Any Azure certifications.
Scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic
VMware, Nimble Storage

They are offering a starting salary up to £68k dependant on experience as well as an impressive and comprehensive benefits package including an excellent pension and bonus

TrueNorth are working with a household name in Newcastle who are looking for talented engineers with a focus on Data products and technologies.

You'll be part of a team that is empowered to push boundaries, look at new technology and work closely with AWS as well as other exciting and progressive ways of working.

Key skills and experience required:
Experience in broad full stack development and engineering
In depth experience with data technologies, including, MySQL, Timestream, Redshift, Redis, InfluxDB, AWS Glue, Grafana, Tableau
Working in agile alongside test engineering
Contribute to architectural decisions using AWS
CI/CD
Extensive experience of working in a team pushing for the best results (not just the quickest solution)

The role is hybrid working from Newcastle (just on the edge of the city centre), the organisation has parking on site and also great bus links.

We have a starting salary range between £60,000 to £72,000 (dependant on experience), plus great pension and benefits
