The Opportunity:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in our technical delivery team to drive the technology programs, including Cloud implementation and support, desktop engineering escalation and networking for a defined portfolio of clients. Using latest and greatest technologies and solutions, you will support our client’s innovation by following a set of standards and best practices in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

What you will do:

Provide advanced support of cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft 365/Azure (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Intune)
Collaborate with, and act as a tier 3 escalation point for Client Technology Management, Service Desk, Engineering, and other client support teams
Implement and manage enterprise mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange or Exchange Online
Act as a Technical Lead for migrations, implementations, relocations, etc
Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide long term fixes based on root cause analysis
Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
Audit undocumented client environments and provide technical recommendations based on findings
Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Azure Active Directory Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services
Perform system maintenance tasks including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades, critical patch applications, and vulnerability remediation
Provide advanced support of Active Directory such as Domain Controller upgrades, Group Policy creation, scheduled software deployments, network policy maintenance, and certificate management
Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field, or a minimum of 6+ years comparable experience in a technology administration role
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 10/11
Advanced administration experience with Public Cloud platforms with focus in Microsoft 365 and Azure (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Intune)
Experience in administration of e-mail platforms and security integrations such as Exchange Online
Experience in virtualization administration on platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
Proficient in incident response management during security events and high-priority escalations, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity activations

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP) preferred
Financial Services or Life Science industry experience a plus

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and qualified Desktop Support Engineer - Microsoft, Azure, O365 to join our amazing team! In this role, you will provide end-user desktop support to multiple users running Windows, Exchange and Office 365 environments.

The Desktop Support Engineer - Microsoft, Azure, O365 will provide desktop support and end-user server administration for all client issues while responding to Level 1 and 2 service tickets. You will work shoulder to shoulder with an awesome team and escalate all problems to the next level of support for guidance as well as contact third-party vendors for warranty service repair.

In this role, you may be dedicated to one of our flagship clients or support multiple clients in London.

What you will do:

Resolve level 1 and 2 support cases and work orders associated with end-user issues, physical and cloud infrastructure, and project related tasks.
See the world through the eyes of the customer by setting client expectations appropriately throughout the troubleshooting process.
Resolve incidents and requests related to, but not limited to the following: Mail Application/Office 365 issues, Client/Server Connectivity issues, Time Sensitive and VIP Workstation incidents, File Restores, Remote Access incidents (Citrix and Terminal Services), Password Resets, Networked Printer Issues to name a few.
Execute basic system maintenance including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades and critical patch applications.
Provide support of Active Directory such as add/remove users, password resets, Group Policy application, task scheduling.
Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Who you are:

Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to articulate technical information to non-technical people. Jargon need not apply here!
Excellent prioritization skills and an ability to see the world through the eyes of the customer.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field, or 3+ years of equivalent combination of technical experience and education in the following:
Microsoft Office 365 (O365)
Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 10/11
Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
Active Directory including account creation, modification and password resets
Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Client VPN setup and troubleshooting
Understanding of e-mail and spam technologies, and how messaging flows through these systems
Basic understanding of cyber-security concepts and technologies, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Hands-on hardware experience with desktops, laptops, and servers
Familiarity with file system support including permissions, sharing, backups and restores.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 suite

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP)
Experience with VM Ware
Experience with Azure

The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Corporate Infrastructure Engineer to join our London team. In this role, you will play a key role in our technical delivery team by working with the Internal IT team to drive the technology programs, including Cloud implementation and support, desktop engineering escalation and networking for ECI’s internal users.

This is an onsite role with a strong preference for candidates to be based in the London area.

What you will do:
Collaborate with, and act as a tier 3 escalation point for the Internal IT Team
Provide advanced support of cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft 365/Azure, and ECI’s proprietary technology.
Implement and manage enterprise mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Proofpoint Essentials or Mimecast
Execute basic tasks on enterprise switching, routing, security, and wireless systems like VLAN changes, ACL updates, key rotations, and port reconfigurations.
Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide long-term fixes based on root cause analysis.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline IT operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual workload, leveraging scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
Audit undocumented environments and provide technical recommendations based on findings.
Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Azure Active Directory Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services, and zero-trust services such as Cloudflare
Provide high-level consultation on information security fundamentals such as good password hygiene practices, multi-factor authentication recommendations and social engineering defense.
