Job Description
Freelance Data Governance Expert – Brussels (Hybrid, 2-3 days/week on site)

Contract: Freelance
Duration: 9 months with an option for extension (long-term projects)

Your Responsibilities

Contribute to structuring data exchange within the organization.
Gather metadata requirements from diverse stakeholders (Business, IT architects, data engineers).
Establish a mechanism for versioning centralized EDM guidelines.
Support the team in defining roadmaps and advancing EDM practice maturity.
Guide stakeholders to align their contributions with centralized data governance guidelines.
Monitor and ensure quality & progress of EDM practices and implementations.
Facilitate discussions and boards to promote data governance initiatives.
Align EDM practices with broader data governance frameworks (glossaries, dictionaries, lineage).
Advocate for data modelling and governance culture across business and IT teams.
Analyze and bridge gaps between internal data model standards and industry benchmarks.



What You Need to Succeed

Languages:
Proficiency in English.
Knowledge of Dutch or French to interact with stakeholders.


Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant experience.


Technical Skills (Must-Have):
Expertise in top-down and bottom-up data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical models, subject areas).
Proficiency with data modelling languages (UML, ERD, etc.).
Hands-on experience with SAP PowerDesigner or similar tools.
Strong understanding of data governance components (metadata management, data quality, lineage, GDPR, data dictionaries, etc.).
Knowledge of data management tools and functionalities.
Ability to train teams, develop modelling guidelines, and produce management reports.


Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Familiarity with Data Products and Data Mesh.
Experience with API and Kafka design.
Knowledge of Data Architecture frameworks.
Experience with industry models (e.g., ISO20022).
Background in software development & database design.

Job Description
Freelance Cyber Security Consultant – Brussels (Hybrid)

Your Role & Responsibilities


As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will support an organization in achieving compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and related regulatory frameworks. Your expertise will help shape security strategies, conduct assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance in cybersecurity and operational resilience.


Key responsibilities include:


DORA Compliance Strategy: Provide expert advice on aligning cybersecurity frameworks, IT risk management, and operational resilience strategies with regulatory requirements.
Gap Analysis & Risk Assessment: Identify security gaps, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
Policy & Framework Development: Assist in creating ICT risk management policies, incident reporting frameworks, and third-party risk management strategies.
Incident Response & Crisis Management: Develop incident response protocols and reporting mechanisms aligned with regulations.
Testing & Simulation: Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and operational resilience testing.

What We’re Looking For


At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or operational resilience.
Strong knowledge of DORA, NIS2, GDPR, and ISO 27001/27005.
Proven expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, third-party risk management, and cloud security.
Ability to work with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.
Experience engaging with auditors, regulators, and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.


What Makes You Stand Out? (Nice to Have)
Certifications: CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CEH.
Experience with Azure infrastructure.
Familiarity with ServiceNow.
