C# Software Developers with an interest around modern technology (Azure & React) are wanted by a Microsoft automotive software company, working on a suite of new products.

The business is going through an exciting growth period and looking to develop a new, scalable technology platform that will compliment some of their established products.

Ideally, you’ll come from a C# / Microsoft background and have a passion for pushing the latest technology. As you’ll be given lots of responsibility on a new Azure based project. This company has a collaborative environment where they like their Developers to have an influence on projects and decision making, they work across the full stack and this opening has the opportunity to move into a Technical Lead position.

Technical Environment:

.Net Core

SQL Server
Azure (Functions, Storage, KeyVault, Cosmos DB, Web App, Logic App)

Unit Testing with either NUnit, MS Test or Moq

You'll be working across the company's suite of short-term forecasting tools, which has been built by a combination of machine-learning, optimisation and fundamental models within the short-term trading space.

The team is at the forefront of the energy revolution, driving innovation to power a sustainable future. Delivering reliable, affordable, and clean energy solutions to customers while reducing our environmental footprint.

The business is already a well established leader within their domain. However, they like to keep team sizes quite small as they want people to have a major say and influence on projects.

Role Overview:
Coding knowledge, in Python, C# or another equivalent language
Experience of the energy power markets
An appetite for problem-solving, turning real-world challenges into impactful tools
Interpersonal, organisational and project management skills
Writing, data analysis and presentation skills

The successful Data Analyst will earn up to £55,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 15% Bonus, 8% Pension contribution, training fund, weekly team lunches, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team tends to come together 2 days a week for some collaboration, but only when it adds value to do so.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced and motivated Software Engineers with DV clearance to join our highly skilled and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects within the security and defence sectors, providing innovative software solutions to critical national infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and security in everything we do.

The business has development projects across multiple technologies and languages, so your background can be more polyglot or you can specialise in either Java, Python, Node or JavaScript.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications and systems. Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of key projects, with a strong emphasis on secure coding practices and adherence to strict government and industry security standards.

What You’ll Do:
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while contributing to peer reviews
Design software features that align with product roadmaps and explain design choices
Break down large development tasks into manageable Agile sprints
Set up and maintain Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Demo your work to internal and external stakeholders

What You Bring:
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or Node
Understanding of Cloud-based architectures (AWS or Azure)
Experience with DevOps & automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
Proven experience in designing, developing & deploying scalable backend systems.
