Job Description:
Overseeing the roadmap and development activities for several small internal application teams, to deliver on invoicing data requirements
Liaising between operations and technology staff to ensure the smooth and fast delivery of application and client changes
Run or attend daily scrum meetings to ensure technology teams are delivering on the most important backlog items in each sprint
Co-ordinating with clients to rollout enhanced invoicing and trade reconciliation data feeds for business conducted through our Global Broking division
Supporting and aligning with the overall project and programme management on wider delivery objectives, reporting and tracking
Must be a strong communicator, comfortable with co-ordinating with multiple external clients, internal management teams, and cross functional delivery teams
Must be a seasoned project manager, with a track record of driving and managing change in small teams
Strong analytical skills, to assist with understanding and aligning requirements, analysing invoicing data, and aligning analysis across development teams and clients

job Description::
To handle business queries received and see them through to resolution where possible, and when required, logging with appropriate 3rd parties.
Develop the ability to investigate complex data integrity issues using SQL and provide solutions, develop data fixes.
Troubleshoot production incidents and collaborate with third parties, developers to resolve and implement permanent fixes.
Monitor batch processing to ensure timely availability of business data escalating urgent issues requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate resources.
Maintain a vigorous process of logging updates in service requests (ServiceNow) and assigning issues to relevant support teams and external suppliers as required.
Ensure technical support documentation and KBs are maintained and kept updated.
Focus on continuous improvement always working to improve existing processes and enhance through automation.
Continually incorporate quality management, assurance, company security and best practices into all support areas to ensure services are delivered within agreed business requirements.
Ensure proper implementation of changes in accordance with company Change Management procedures and attend CAB when required.
Participate in Disaster Recovery testing, validate, and update recovery runbooks.
Participate in the on-call rota and support for applications, infrastructure and patching upgrades during weekends and as required.
Skills Required:
Proven experience in a similar role
Experience of service management (ITIL)
Experience with ServiceNow or similar
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team player
A keen problem solver
Ability to communicate effectively, especially during incidents
Determined, self-motivated and resourceful to own tasks from start to finish
Demonstratable experience in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL, SQL queries, Windows and Linux, scripting using bash or Python

Experience:

Evaluate existing domain data mart models and architecture, ensuring alignment with our data strategy and optimizing for key analytical use cases.
Design & Develop Models:
Develop and implement remediated data models, collaborating with engineering and analytical teams to standardize and improve model efficiency.
Optimize Storage & Consumption:
Design data storage and consumption strategies with a focus on cost-effective solutions for cloud environments like AWS, balancing storage and compute costs.
Create & Maintain Standards:
Develop and maintain modelling standards, guardrails, and governance processes across data management and engineering, covering areas like:
Data query performance and table structures.
Partitioning data across AWS S3 and other object stores.
Data Lifecycle Management in AWS.
Establishing business logic development and governance processes.
Ensure Consistent Modelling Approaches:
Conduct reviews to maintain consistency and high quality across data models and technical approaches.
Required Skills & Experience:
Cloud & Data Design Expertise:
Proficient in designing and optimizing data models for cloud environments, especially AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, RDBMS, columnar databases).
Data Modelling Methodologies:
Strong background in data modelling methodologies such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Data Vault.
Experience in Cloud Data Warehouses:
Expertise in building cloud data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift) using Kimball methodology.
Technical Knowledge:
Skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau and building queries to extract meaningful insights.
Qualifications:
Certifications in RDBMS design/administration and AWS architecture are preferred.
Governance & Stakeholder Management:
Experience in establishing data governance standards and stakeholder management at various levels, from senior business leaders to analysts.
MI/BI & Predictive Modelling:
Experience with MI/BI use cases, data exploration, and predictive modelling/data science is a plus.
