Job Description
Vivienne Westwood Ltd is currently looking for a Product Developer to join our Couture & Bridal department. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Bridal Collection Manger and the Product Senior Manager and will join a tight knit team based in the headquarters in Battersea, home of our renowned atelier.

This is a great opportunity for a proactive Product Developer to implement their skills and further grow their experience working closely on iconic Vivienne Westwood styles. The new team member will be responsible for the PD and coordination of raw materials for the Bridal Collections as well as ad hoc special projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Product and Collection Development of the Bridal MTO and Special Projects
Compiling technical sheets and BOMs. Inserting product data in PLMflex and SAP.
Fabrics, trims, hardware research, and working with suppliers on custom fabrics developments. Able to liaise with suppliers about quality, sustainable options and certifications, best prices, MOQ and delivery timeframes.
Monitoring consumptions, ordering fabrics and components accordingly.
Recording costings and creating costing sheets.
Assisting during sampling and production fittings.
Liaise with Head Pattern Cutter to ensure garments are fit for production and all relevant data is recorded ensuring complete detail and accuracy.
Dealing with manufacturers during sampling phases.
Inspections and cataloguing of fabrics and components upon arrival.
Supporting with the design of the seasonal selling books, liaising with the Graphics Department as well as the creation of fabric books for each collection.
Able to promptly address and solve any technical and quality issues arising during production or with any fabrics.
Lease with our Milan office for the purchasing of fabrics, trims, and accessories. Logging all orders and fabric/trims details into SAP and Fabrics Master Chart.
Manage shipping documents (through logistic dept), track deliveries and log relative data into Fabric Master Chart/SAP.
Chasing PO’s creation from accounts and issue to suppliers and log relative data into Fabric Master Chart.
Coordinating and chasing invoice payments for suppliers.
Monitoring stock levels in house and sample rooms.
Handle fabric swatches requests from the stores.
Upkeep and labelling of the fabrics on studio shelves.
Prepare seasonal fabric books and create and update seasonal developments chart.
Order studio/production packaging supplies (garment bags, hangers, swing tags, tissue paper). Log in all data into the Packaging Master Chart/SAP.

PROFILE & KEY SKILLS
Previous experience within a hi-end designer organization. Previous experience within the bridal and occasion wear sector is preferred but not essential.
At least 5 years of product development background.
Understanding of fabrics and manufacturing techniques.
Understanding of pattern development.
Proficient in computer skills
Excellent organization skills.
Flexible and proactive team-player attitude.
Attention to details.
Multitasking and able to maintain focus and calm under pressure.

Assistant Buyer - Maternity Cover - FTC 11 months
Job Description
Vivienne Westwood’s Assistant Buyer (Maternity Cover) will provide essential administrative and analytical support to the Buying department, working closely with the Account Buyer (AB) and Buying and Allocation Assistant (BAA). This role plays a vital part in supporting the achievement of sales targets by managing stock flow in line with the delivery plan and ensuring the effective distribution of stock to stores and Ecommerce.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 11 months.

The Assistant Buyer (Maternity Cover) will work full-time in Conduit Head Office, supporting the Wholesale and Buying teams.

Key Responsibilities


Supports the buying team by raising orders, managing data, and ensuring records are accurate and submitted on time.
Optimise stockturn by highlighting slow selling products and recommending actions to be taken
With Buyers, plan allocation and replenishment criteria based on store capacity, seasonality, min/max, on sale weeks, sales curves etc.
Maintain store allocation parameters
Allocate initial stock to stores based on the range plan and recommend actions for any stock shortages
Analyse and regularly update allocation parameters to reflect current and future trading patterns
Coordinate the flow of information and build strong relationships with stores/Ecommerce/DC to deliver commercial insights
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on sales, best and worst sellers, competitor activity etc.
Amend allocation plan according to weekly trading decisions
Feedback product learning to assist Buying in range planning and to inform the buying itself
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the systems the department is using (Excel, SAP, BI) and attend training as required
Overseeing the preparation of the weekly and monthly top line retail and buying reports
Writing up of meeting notes and distributing to all attendees in a timely manner
Support with the organisation of the buying schedule and appointments- liaising with the showroom to book rooms and models and supporting with the preparation of any required material
Supports the Buyer in meeting all key deadlines through proactive planning and coordination.
Support with preparation for the company Buying presentations
Notices discrepancies in data and communicates to relevant departments to rectify
May be expected to work longer hours/weekends during buying season
Any ad-hoc tasks required.


Technical Skills & Experience Required


Analytical and results driven, able to use data to measure performance and identify areas of improvement.
Process orientation – interprets figures with ease. Excellent IT skills and competent in all Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel. Can adapt to new systems quickly.
Commercial acumen – Highly numerate and data rational. Confident in analysing large volumes of data.
Numerical and analytical with experience in administration and database management. Shows interest in product and retail.
Previous experience as AB.
Numerical/analytical experience required.
Team player – genuine interest in buying and willingness to learn. Enthusiastic and proactive.
Organisation – good planning and organisational skills. Ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Vivienne Westwood is looking for an Archive – Heritage and Fashion Editor Intern to join our team based in or Elcho Street Office in Battersea. This position is offered on a full time basis Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week for 3 months, at £13.85 per hour.

Key Responsibilities


Support day-to-day Heritage and Fashion Editing administration.
Support with daily returns and requests using the Fashion GPS system.
Assist with archival care, maintenance and accurate digital upload of archival pieces onto the FGPS system.
Assist with labelling, re-housing and cataloguing garments and accessories.
Support the Fashion editing team with photoshoot preparation and co-ordination.
Supporting the Fashion Editing team with set-up and take down of backstage styling and preparation areas on styling and shoot days.
Work with the Fashion Editing team to ensure the successful delivery of creative projects.


Profile & Key Skills


Knowledge and previous experience with Fashion GPS (Launchmetrics Samples) preferred.
Knowledge of outlook emailing systems and excel desirable.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Data orientated with acute attention to detail and processes.
Must be able to adapt to daily changes and be self-motivated.
Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential.
