Are you an experienced full-stack developer with solid commercial AWS development expertise?
A public sector organization is looking for a talented developer to join their team and help accelerate the transition from legacy on-premise document management and archiving solutions to cloud-native, serverless technologies. This role is crucial in developing new serverless microservices using AWS Lambda functions and Typescript/JavaScript to build scalable, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Migrate legacy document management data (2nd series CSR Search Sheet, Minute metadata) to new cloud systems.
Enhance search capabilities for Search Sheets and indexes using address, organisation, or person names.
Implement event-driven updates and data refreshes for Search Sheet metadata.
Onboard new API endpoints to allow users to find and view Search Sheets.
Investigate and plan the migration of legacy Archive V2/V3 services to a new cloud-based Land Register archive.
Replace legacy pipeline automation with modern best practices and introduce security checks.
Migrate, verify, and test document groups to the new Land Register archive.
Collaborate with other developers, business stakeholders, and agile teams to design solutions.
Improve backup and restoration capabilities in the existing Land Register archive
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in designing and implementing solutions using AWS, serverless architectures, and Lambda.
Strong skills in Typescript/JavaScript, React, and Java Spring.
Solid experience with AWS CodePipeline, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless (Postgres), and S3.
Experience with authentication services via Cognito and IAM.
Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.
A passion for delivering high-quality software and value to stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience with MongoDB, Oracle databases, and OpenShift/Docker.
Knowledge of Prisma Cloud for data security integration.
Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Human-Centered Design, and inclusive design practices.
Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools, telemetry, and intelligence tools.

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will be part of an agile delivery team working on the development of a new public-facing digital authorisation application, an associated back-office database, and internal systems that power important public services.
What You’ll Do:
Work as part of an agile, delivery-focused team, collaborating to develop and implement front-end solutions.
Use Angular, NodeJS, Express, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to build front-end applications that meet high usability, accessibility, and security standards.
