Lead Contract Engineer
Job Description
The Lead Contract Manager advises the Project Director on contract strategy (prime contract with the client, after award) and ensures contract management activities all along projects. He/she :
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, processes and the like.
- Prepares and consolidates highly complex analysis of contract conditions, issues, as well as risks and opportunities, and develop associated Contractual strategy.
- Aligns contract management plan to the project plan.
- Functions as a business partner for Project Director.
- Manages relations with external partners and stakeholders.
- Ensures contract management all along the projects on all topics.
- Monitors and analyse issues when they arise and deal with them, anticipate risks and grasp opportunities.
- Manages a team from 2 to 4 contract engineers, managers and legal advisors.
- Manages the interface between the Project and the other legal functions.

The Lead Contract Manager is responsible for the delivery of Contract services and strategy from early projects phase until contract close outs, including but not limited to the following:
- Provide the principal contract support and lead all contract management activities for the Project, including Client contracts, Partnership arrangements (JV, Consortium).

At the early phase of the project (after contract award), the Lead Contract Manager shall:
- Develop and/or review critical project specific procedures
- Ensure relevant back-to-back between the prime contract and the supply chain (both Procurement and Subcontract) in developing a flow-down plan and assisting the Procurement and Subcontracting teams in the preparation of the Particular Terms & Conditions and subsequent negotiation of critical terms with Vendors/Subcontractors thereafter.

During the project development, the Lead Contract Manager shall:
- Provide appropriate support and guidance to the Project Director and leadership within the Project team in the management and administration of the contract, consistently with the relevant policies, standards and processes.
- Initiate, draft and/or review, as the case may be, all incoming and outgoing correspondence with Clients, Partners and, where applicable, with third parties.
- Initiate and coordinate the preparation, negotiation and settlement of change orders and claims towards the client.
- Work closely with the project control manager to monitor schedule performance and cost trends in order to identify risks and opportunities for revenue enhancement, schedule relief and risks mitigation.
- Track any risks and track/pursue opportunities in view of consolidating and increasing the project profit margin.
- Assist the subcontracting and procurement teams on critical matters (amendment, claims, etc…).
- Liaise and obtain when required legal expertise from the Legal Team (corporate, compliance, Intellectual property, insurance, litigation, general legal advice), from other functions (treasury, tax, etc.) or from external advisors with the purpose of providing the project team with a comprehensive set of legal and contractual services.
Reporting lines and interactions:
- Functionally reports to the Head of Contract Management Department.
- Operationally reports to the Project Director.
- Directly supervises contract engineers, as appropriate
- Internal key interactions: All functions/departments (engineering, procurement, planning, cost control, finance, legal, compliance, insurances…)
- External key interactions: Clients, partners (consortium), external advisors, project third parties

Lead Information Manager | Oil & Gas Sector only
Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Information Manager for one of our clients - Technip Energies France. The position is based in Paris and requires a minimum commitment of 12 months on Resident Status.

As the Lead Information Manager , the services holder will demonstrate and execute a number of activities as described below:
· Understand and analyse contractual requirements, clarify them with Partners and the Client.
· Define an execution strategy for the collection, verification, consolidation of data, and its submission to the Client.
· Review with the disciplines the equipment and component tagging procedure issued by the Partner according to Client requirements.
· Raise awareness among the disciplines about tagging rules, present them with Client requirements, and ensure they are properly taken into account.
· Issue an Information Management Plan explaining how the IM (Information Management) team is organized and what the strategy is to meet contractual requirements.
· Issue procedures for structuring and producing information for the Client, the Partners, the Project, vendors, and subcontractors (e.g., Data Control Procedure, Subcontractor Data Requirements Procedure, etc.).
· Supervise and coordinate the activities of the IM team and lead the team.
· Participate in the implementation of the Engineering Data Warehouse in coordination with the Methods & Tools team, by specifying the project's specific needs.
· With support from the Engineering Data Coordinators, set up and maintain a Master Tag Register for Engineering: identify the various sources of tags and data, and establish processes for collecting and verifying tags and their associated properties.
· With support from the Vendor Data Coordinators, define and implement a strategy for collecting tags and data from vendors and subcontractors (from tender phase to final register upload in the Engineering Data Warehouse).
· Ensure the quality of the data loaded into the Engineering Data Warehouse. Set up quality reviews and indicators, shared with the various project stakeholders.
· Ensure that IM deliverables are issued to the Partner / Client according to contractual requirements.
Provide regular reporting to the project and the Department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's + 5 years of higher education, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.
Strong knowledge of Information Management (management of technical project data).
Understanding of the specificities of Oil & Gas projects and knowledge of project processes (Engineering and Procurement phases).
Proficiency in applicable codes.
Knowledge of software: Excel (advanced level), Aveva Engineering, or other databases. Power BI, Power Query are a plus.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, responsiveness, diplomacy, rigor, and good interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills and task prioritization.
Team management.
Fluency in English is mandatory, both spoken (for presentations and training sessions, multicultural team) and written (documentation to be written in English).
