Support Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Freelance 2nd Line Support Engineer for a 6-month rolling contract to support an established insurance client in Antwerp. This role requires a professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills to provide high-quality support for internal users and resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
2nd Line Support:
Provide advanced technical support to end users, handling escalated issues from 1st line support.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
Incident & Problem Management:
Manage and resolve incidents, ensuring timely resolution in line with SLA targets.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify the root cause of recurring problems and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Utilize diagnostic tools and logs to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Collaboration with IT Teams:
Work closely with the IT infrastructure and systems teams to escalate and resolve higher-level technical issues.
Participate in change management processes for system updates and implementations.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Document technical issues and resolutions for knowledge management purposes.
Create and maintain clear, concise user-facing documentation and troubleshooting guides.
End-User Communication:
Communicate effectively with users to understand issues, provide status updates, and manage expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience:
Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support Engineer role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS, software applications, networking, and hardware components.
Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and ITIL processes.
Problem Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both software and hardware issues.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Customer-Focused:
Ability to prioritize and deliver excellent customer service in a high-pressure environment.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Position Overview
Our client, a leading insurance company in Antwerp, is looking for a Freelance System Engineer with a focus on Microsoft 365 (M365). This 6-month rolling contract provides the opportunity to contribute to the client’s digital transformation and optimise their M365 infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
M365 System Design & Implementation:
Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) to align with business needs.
Administration & Support:
Administer and troubleshoot M365 environment, including user provisioning, license management, security, and compliance.
M365 Migration Projects:
Support migration to M365, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal operational disruptions.
Collaboration Tools Optimization:
Maximize productivity by enhancing tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Security & Compliance Management:
Enforce security protocols and compliance measures for the M365 environment, in line with industry regulations.
Incident Management:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with internal teams to address escalations.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
Technical Expertise:

M365 Security:
Knowledge of M365 security tools (e.g., DLP, MFA, Conditional Access).

Additional Information
Contract Type: 6-month rolling contract.
